...Because werewolves and minotaur have "existed" (for lack of a better term) for hundreds of years, and their inclusion in a high fantasy atmosphere makes sense. They weren't added specifically because THEYRESOCUTEOMG like people are hoping for the stupid Zootopia foxes.

My friend, you need to learn about the mythical Kitsune.

Allow me to share: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kitsune

Do enjoy.

And here, we have another version that is much older than Zootopia!

Reynard! So mythical as minotaurs and werewolves!

I love it, when someone who just has "Eww! Furrys!" as a basis for the argument, to show how little they know of what they are talking about and, to show that they have nothing but pitty talk in their arguments!
Kuma Lisa from Ucranian, Bulgarian and Russian folklore!

I found doing a quick consultation to the oracle of the 21st century, Google!
Really interesting finds, guys! I actually didn't know about most of them.

I wish I could find more information on Kuma Lisa, I love researching folklore. Unfortunately there appears to be very little on her in English
Got Foxmcloud reserved on thrall just in case :)

I really should make a list of memey names to check my servers for the expansion launch name release
I've Tecca saved on both my servers.

Though I had a good thought for a Robinhood.

Kuma Lisa, the russian folklore character Grayphus mentioned
Regarding lore that involves a fox, some years back there was a game called Never Alone that's about an old Alaskan tale of a girl and her arctic fox companion.

>see thread dedicated to fox race
>OP plays a panda

god I hate furries so much.
Eevee maybe you can start compiling a list of the forklore surrounding foxes and add it to the front of the megathread :)

Do you hate Tauren & Worgen just as much? Both of those playable races are covered in fur.

The difference tends to be that people who play taurens or worgens dont role play(in a toxic way) to anywhere near the extent that people who play things like pandas or foxes do.

If it's worth anything to you, I don't roleplay. That said, roleplaying of both the innocent variety and the variety of which I think you are alluding to happens with literally every race in the game. More importantly though there are also members of every race that don't roleplay. It's unfair to generalize an opinion of an entire section of the player base.

Tangentially related, is roleplaying something you actually see on a regular basis on a former PvP realm? I literally haven't stumbled across actual roleplay on a regular server in years

PS: Hating all furries because some them make you uncomfortable in goldshire is also unfair

Last I built up the courage to enter Goldshire on Moon Guard, half the people there were Void Elves.

I've never rolled on moonguard but the more my morbid curiosity wants to just see if the horrors I've heard about are true. I feel like I'd regret it though.

Maybe I should have rephrased this. While I think role playing over all is strange (and in many times toxic) I'm saying that I know damn well what type of people races such like pandas and foxes are going to appeal to, and it will be the type of people who have sexual fetishes for animals or like to wear fur suits. Not all people who play these races will necessarily be like the people I described, but at least a sizable minority of these races will be played by these people.

Okay. Every sentence there is true. Those people exist and yes the vulpera will appeal to them. But is that really a problem?

I don't find Vulpera sexually appealing but I'm not going to criticize anybody who does. It doesn't seem any different to me than anybody who finds their draenei or blood elf sexually appealing. As long as they're not throwing their sexuality in my face they can enjoy the game however they want.

Yes rule 34 is going to happen, but if you don't Google it and stay off moonguard you're not going to see it.

Edit: For the record, I don't think erotic roleplay of any kind is really suitable for world of Warcraft simply because it is a setting that completely lacks privacy and can reach the eyes of people who did NOT sign up for it. I don't generally chastise other people but if you press me on the topic I will give my opinion. Bedrooms have doors for a reason.

Another edit: a fetish for animals and a fetish for anthropomorphic animals are very different things. The latter is a harmless if unusual bedroom habit. The former is animal cruelty and I make no defense for it
