At first I was so opposed to the idea because of how memey it would be but after reviewing the video and imagning vulpera doing it, I really really want the backup dancers dance from "What does the fox say".
.... *secretly loves that video unironically*
I thought it was pretty cute the first time but as somebody who follows a lot of pet foxes on youtube, variations of the comment "What does the fox say?" got tiresome really quickly.
Any more news on these cute critters? Or are we still in limbo on whether they will be an allied race or when they will be an allied race? They'll probably be the only race that I will slog through the leveling process again for so hopefully Blizz senses the demand for them and adds them at some point.

There have not been any major changes since the special second jumping animation was added. There have been some minor tweaks to a few other animations but nothing brand new and no official word from blizzard on if and when they'll be playable.
We stay vigilant though. I promise I'll post any news as it happens.
The Vulpera traders now have fancy backpacks! (Again) Imagine the muscles needed to haul these across the deserts. You can bet they will be powerful warriors for the horde.
Oh... So this is still a thing, but what happened with those vampire elves threads? They sounded good alike, with all the blood and bats, ready to join the Horde.
Anyway I'm still supporting the idea of making the Vulpera an allied race, especially for the Horde, as we need more desert races for Durotar and Orgrimmar. Also they where slaves, no? That fills the Horde vibe so much.

The communities for vampire elves, sethrak Vulpera and others are still going strong. But in the wake of the prepatch uproar flooding the forums many have opted to retreat to their respective discord servers and in game communities.
Personally though, I know these forums are the only place where our voices can truly be heard. So I continue to act on behalf of all of the Vulpera hype caravan and remind Blizzard that we want to show our love and our wallets to the Vulpera cause.
I ain't givin' up 'til my race change goes through

We're (San'layn) still kickin' too. These threads sometimes get buried in the pre-patch complaints and all, I typically try to bring them all up at once. San'layn are on part 8 (by yours truly), and Sethrak part 6. I think Vulpera is the most talked about Allied race currently with the biggest community if we're going by Discord terms. (I'm part of all 3, and the Arakkoa one too.) I won't go into too much on San'layn here since of course this is a Vulpera thread, but yeah you'll see us around on FP sometimes discussing fun stuff.
The Allied Race threads have gotten a good reputation for being positive and fun in the midst of things which I think is lovely. We're showing that our communities really want this positive addition to the game. At the moment I'm confident that Vulpera have a HUGE chance, like 99% sure we'll see them playable at some point. I'd say 100% but we don't know until they actually announce things. Eevee is right. Our voices can be heard here and we can spread information easily, along with gather support and hype ^^

I appreciate you guys coming to help. When I see you guys are on thread 7 or 8 I feel like I should have made a Vulpera megathread sooner rather than engage in that period where I basically made a new thread every day. :/ Oh well
Keep up the fight for danger noodles and sucky elfs!

It still boggles me that half the posts that claim Vulpera are furries and furries are bad come from Tauren and Worgen.
I mean, I'm not even trying to be funny. I literally don't understand the mindset.
It is indeed one of those "The poster doth protest too much" situations. Maybe some hugs and therapy to accept themselves would go a long way.
Usually when I prod them on it I get a response in the vein of "Tauren aren't furries they're just big tough cow people and I think that's cool" but that's... Literally as close as you can get to defining a furry
At first I was so opposed to the idea because of how memey it would be but after reviewing the video and imagning vulpera doing it, I really really want the backup dancers dance from "What does the fox say".
Please by all the spirits no! I’d be afraid of getting whispered that constantly. I’d have to have a video link qued up of actual fox screeching to send them :3

If you think you're going to avoid the meme while playing on a vulpera just by not dancing, I've got some bad news for you...
But yeah. Give them an earful of scout the fennec having spaz attack. They'll never ask again.

They’re probably just afraid of being assotiated with the fandom, as it still catches a lot of flak in other nerd cultures and in the media at large.
Secretly though I think they’ve just realized that vulpera are basicly fennecs, and are rightly afraid of the small balls of bitey soul staring anger that are the little desert foxes. And with those ears we’ll hear them everywhere!

I can absolutely understand a person who got a negative view of the fandom and doesn't want to associate with people from said fandom. (I may think that's closed minded but at least it's something I understand) The thing that confuses me though is that if they themselves like beast races enough to play one while not associating with that fandom then they should understand that not everyone who likes a different beast race would be part of that fandom and negatively judge the new beast race on principle.
