Whatever is planned next CANNOT be a secret after 8.2 hits the ptr. There’s just no way, right?

Well…perhaps at the start…but once we start really delving into the 8.2 ptr, I’d say a few weeks into it, they’d HAVE to let us know what’s coming up.
I mean…they need to let the rush of new players, race changes, etc go into effect before they suddenly burst in with the news of the new AR planned next~

Are there any events coming up in which a big announcement about ARs would serve them?
only thing I can think that might have any possible correlation, which is exciting for me, is the Hearthstone expansions~
There’s new heroes in it that are, you guessed it: Sethrak and Vulpera~!
So there might be some kind of connection for them, it shows that they’re so popular among the playerbase that they’re making them heroes in Hearthstone

8.2 isn’t likely to have new allied races. That’s for 8.2.5, so don’t expect new vulpera files hinting at their addition. It’s not impossible, but we will be lucky if we get that.
What I’d look for is story hints. My bet is to keep an eye in the mechagon storyline. If the junker gnomes are aimed at becoming allied races, I’d bet the Horde story for that area will have vulpera involved, in order to keep them relevant and build an ever closer relationship with the Horde.
Blizz said mechagon storyline for Alliance is about us helping the lower caste junkers to rebel against their tyrannical nobles. Horde-side, it’s about the goblins stealing tech secrets from the junkers.
I’d bet the goblins may he hiring vulpera as working force/partners in this endeavor. Since vulpera are kind of the “goblin allied race”, it makes sense to make the two races colaborate, for survival and profit.
Blizzard has been using Q&As and other streaming events to announce things (like the recent art panel that announced 8.1.5 release date). I’m not keen on events, but I think there’s some gaming events near the end of April/start of May. Those would be perfect for larger announcements, like WoW plans for this year (specially things that happen before Blizzcon).

I didn’t know that about the hearthstone heroes. That seems… deliberate. Are there any non playable races as hearthstone heroes other than dryad?

but it’s something involving them! so it shows that they’re seeing how much of a fanbase both have now. If anything I see it as positive news about both sethrak and Vulpera :D!
I just hope, the same as you, that it’ll be a little after 8.2 hits that we see development with which ever the ARs will be. Afterall, we need growth with them to have them as candidates for 8.2.5. So I’d imagine we’ll start seeing more hints and tidbits dropped in 8.2.

Given the way things have progressed, we should see a pretty good hint, lorewise, what the next ARs are going to be in 8.2. Hopefully the Vulpera are front and center.

and we’ll find out, as well, if it’ll be Junker or Sethrak or perhaps something else completely unrelated to either of them~. It’s possible it could even be those Ankoan folk that help the alliance in the Naz’jatar area. They’re gonna have to start showing what they’ve been working on, however. By that I mean, we already have seen the Vulpera with their NUMEROUS customization options. We’ll just need something similar to be seen or discovered from data-mining. 8.2-ish would be the time we’d find out more, even if there’s not as much info found or quests done for either side, if any files are found, it’ll be then that they’ll be more discovered. I mean…wasn’t it ~8.1 that released or even before then, that we started seeing customization options for KT and ZT on the ptr? Or at least somewhere around there.

I can’t wait! I hope it’s Sethrak with the Vulpera. Junker gnomes are meh and are only going to cause more #hordebias posts. Anyway, they can’t come fast enough for me. I’m so bored and I keep looking at my chars like I wish I was looking at a Vulpera right now

I know exactly how you feel…I would GLADLY level a brand new Sethrak and even get a race change or two~ I love and adore my worgen but…I’ve been looking forward to Sethrak for sooooo long now, like, since I discovered them back in October being a thing and the detail, I got so excited. I just hope so much that we find out more or get to do more with them :<

Well, I know they kept highmountain/nightborne under wraps during their PTR. Like you couldn’t roll on on the PTR at all, then they surprised us by letting us play them as a pre-order bonus only a couple weeks later.
But the models, story text and everything were datamined. I theorized that the four Legion races would be a preorder bonus during Blizzcon 17. People called me crazy. Then PTR came, all the files made me sure the allied races would be available. People still called me crazy. Until Blizzard proved me right.
So, here’s my prediction: vulpera are the next Horde allied race.

That’s true, and we knew that those two races were going to be allied races, they had been announced, we just didn’t know when

correct, we won’t be able to make any AR until the patch they’re released…however more skins and customization options will be discovered beforehand. Vulpera will likely be the next AR for horde. We will surely be finding out which it will be for the Alliance, between three different races: Ankoran, Sethrak and Junker Gnome. I feel like the JG got such a quiet ‘welcome’ at the Blizzcon that they MIGHT rethink the option. Some want them, many do not. Sethrak have a fairly good following, and I don’t know about what people think of the Ankoran. So…who knows what Alliance will get! xD hopefully we’ll find out soon!

If Vulpera become a playable race (probably Horde but I kinda wish for playable both factions) my people would have to bury me with my keyboard and mouse because they’d not be able to pry them from my cold dead hands.
