Vulpera Discussion Megathread (Part 1)

Basically, if there’re enough people and interest for a race (or a group), they’ll consider making them playable (if lore and whatnot agrees).

So, it’s still very possible for vulpera to be make playable. Keep this thread going, guys!

I believe that we are in store for a grand story of adventure, whether during this expansion or leading into the next, where; we’ll uncover a hidden past, learn of a forgotten tribe’s ancient knowledge, embark on a journey of friendship and discover a link between a mysterious ancestral treasure and the cosmos - culminating in the reunion of the current Vulpera who we meet in Vol’dun and their original long lost brethren - who may be living on another part of Azeroth unexplored, or phased from reality by their own doing due to an incident they may have caused and could not control, or somewhere else altogether.

Maybe in ancient times, the Vulpera were plentiful tribes of schollars; impassioned and devoted researchers of the foundations of creaton; gifted gatherers of knowledge; curious observers and avid questioners, diligent yet respectful when attempting to unravel the mysteries of the primal forces / cosmos, and reverential in their methods and findings. I can see an inquisitive society, drawn to life’s puzzles, driven by their very nature to seek, experiement, solve and document enigmas. Discoveries become truths to uphold and embody. A life reflecting the balance of creation is lived in their society everyday.

Exploring the history of the Vulpera we meet in Vol’dun is paramount and vital to learning about their ancestry, culture, homeland and origination. As a story-lover I am eager to uncover their past and discover their original home, whether that be on Azeroth in a thick forest full of tall trees and cozy burrows, or hidden underground, or elsewhere such as K’aresh or possibly where the Vulpine Familiar is from (possible connection to Elune?).

Thanks for reading all! Be quick, be clever! Peace all!

I don’t think we’ll get any news until ZT/KT are released and playable so as not to steal even more thunder from what is (now admittedly) a delayed release of flagship races.

Yes sir!

I agree entirely, but it’s nice to know that they appear to acknowledge our discussions ^^

100% !! I do think they should be doing something (even a small something) to keep the hype flame burning even if they don’t want to spoil/hint at anything specific for another few months. Not soon enough!

We could hold another Vulpera meet up like we did last year for Foxtober and let’s invite our Sethrak brothers to push their support.

Lunar Festival Rave Party @Tweekette’s “house”.
Lights & brew keg provided.
BYO [Anchor Weed].

To be fair, there’s something to be said for both of them being scrappers and scavengers fighting oppressors in their homelands.

I really wish Sethrak had more support…it has a good amount, don’t get me wrong! I just wish it was as strong as the Vulpera…I can only argue and validate so much on my own xD;

Well September isn’t too far off so we could have a Sethtemper and have folks disguised as Sethrak roaming over capital cities.

I just want something new for use to use as justification~ I mean…nothing really stands out that IF they happened to announce Sethrak and Vulpera as the next AR coupling…it’d almost feel out of place for Sethrak when they haven’t done as much with the alliance. However, if they start showing stuff with development especially with Sethrak, even if it’s just some quests with alliance involvement or what not…then we can begin to show that it makes more sense and thus get more people on excited on it

I get what you mean their story kinda felt half full on the Horde side sure we beat the Faithless leader but then what will the Faithless fall apart since Sethraliss is back, maybe she could give us some aide in fending off this old god threat like she did in life everything felt so rushed with them.

that’s what I think…I mean, during the last Q&A they pretty much made it obvious when they were talking about KT and ZT. That the KT initially weren’t going to be a thing but in the end they made it work somehow. The ZT were initially going to be released with DID but then what would have been released with the orc?

They say they have them all planned out, but if they’re going off of what we do in these threads, if it’s all decided already, how would that alter their decision if it’s ‘already planned?’ Not just that but the horde are likely all planned out already, but it seemed they didn’t know who to have for alliance at all.

I’m not trying to call out the whole horde favoritism thing, but the fact that they already had those AR decided long before the expansion and had to move and make new AR to make sense…i.e. the KT…which weren’t even going to be a thing in the first place

It makes you wonder: what was it supposed to be otherwise?

Yea, that’s been shown before~! It definitely serves to solidify the Vulpera into becoming an AR for the horde…though there is still next to nothing for the alliance counterpart which is very saddening.

Still hoping something happens with the Sethrak that pushes them our way xD

It’s still a very good thing to be reminded of, showing how the vulpera have stronger ties and feelings towards the horde ^^

After you finish the raid. Does Dazar’alor actually have Talanji up on the throne with new advisors, or does it just go back to Rastakhan still sitting there? Have been to lazy to actually do Dazar’alor. :frowning:

I believe in 8.1.5 ptr, there’s an actual coronation ceremony that takes place with Talanji taking the throne with all of the loa avatars there. Some are active, and others are 100% passive (Sethraliss).

So immediately after the raid…who knows, but when 8.1.5 hits, it’ll likely be one of those ‘phase-in’ changes. Like how areas change after certain events

Seeing as Mekkatorque needs to become half a machine… The Mechagnomes will no doubt have the same sort of story for the Alliance as we had for Vulpera.

Seeing how they needed to alter the storylmine to add Kul’Tiran… We normally might have gotten the Vulps sooner.
