Just spend five minutes with Nisha and the answer is a no-brainer:
Vulpera definitely belong in the Horde.

For real. Iāve met Orcs less brutal than that little girl. Literally wears the skulls of her enemies!
This makes me happy! I really wish they wouldnt boot us who have no sub I miss talking on these forums.
Just passing by to remember everyone that vulpera are the most likely new race addition at this point.
Iām sure theyāll be playable. No way Blizzard would spend so much resources in (re)making their models during alpha if it didnāt have plans for it. No other NPC race in the entire game has so many playable-like qualities, and I dare say vulpera were more costly to make than void elves or magāhar due to the unique features (an entirely new head!) and animations.
While I donāt care too much about them, Iāll be happy for you vulpera fans when you get your wish. At least someone in the forums will be happy for once.
Thereās no doubt theyāve got a bunch going for them.
Itād be a shame to see blizz put all of that work to waste.
I donāt want no wagon-wheelān, flea-infested, sand vermin musclān in on MY BUSINESS!
Goblins got the horde market cornered capeesh?
Those little doormats can go caravan off somewhere else if they know whats good forāemā¦
At first I was against it because I think it would be silly to see Horde become Zootopia butā¦ Iād prefer it than the elf infested haven it is right now.
Props for at least making the CORRECT unflattering comparison to Disney cartoons rather than the incorrect unflattering comparison to Anime.
Iām pretty sure weāre just keeping things balanced at this point though. Allied races have been an elf, two monsters and two fluffy things, this seems like a pretty good ratio compared to our existing lineup of one elf, four monsters and two fluffy things.
Hopefully they will anounce new allied races for the spring. Vulpera would be ideal for that yime and Sethrak. I hope the horde gets Sethrak though and somehow alliance get Vulpera.
Again, thereās now a snowballās chance of the vulpera siding with the Alliance after what the latter pulls to prevent them from helping the Horde. Imagine getting shot in a robbery and then asking your assailant if they want to be your roommate.
I was really expecting more allied race announcements in Blizzcon, but I guess the Alliance counterpart (probably junker gnomes) was not ready to be shown yet.
We will probably know by April. By then, 8.2 will be in PTR (or maybe even released), and the models for junker gnomes or whatever will be available through datamining.
I ate crow by claiming not only would there be allied races announced, but that Vulpera would be among them. Frankly I still donāt understand why they didnāt break down every single allied race they planned to add. Races sell subs. It only makes sense to announce races at the time when people pay the most attention. That time is blizzcon. If there is another set of allied races planned for 8.2 or 8.2.5 I canāt imagine how they plan to announce it.
8.2.5 PTR patch notes:
-Our latest round of shaman fixes proved to be too much fun so theyāre being reverted
-Horde can now recruit Vulpera as an allied race
-Fixed a bug that sometimes caused loot to drop.
Foolish little Goblin think of the profit to be made if you had them backing you I can see a 70/30 working in your favor.
Iām still in this fight! Waiting on my foxy boiās to be announced!
Junker gnomes would be an end of x-pac race, I think, since you would need the entire patch to progress the storyline with them, need to get rep (or what is necessary) having them in 8.2 when theyāre not even going to be seen until THAT patchā¦would be far too rushed. At least thatās how I feel about it
8.2 will come with the Mechagon island/megadungeon/storyline. Alliance-side, we know we will be helping the commoners rebel against the upper class. There will probably be a reputation and a story. And then allied races come around 3-4 months later, in 8.2.5.
This was how it was done with lightforged draenei: introduced in 7.3, playable in 7.3.5. And void elves also broke the pattern, by being (shodily) introduced and made playable in the same patch.
Interesting thought: we know that Horde-side it will be the goblins salvaging junker technology for profit. But I wouldnāt be surprised if vulpera appear as well as hired labor force for the goblins.
yes, Iām aware that 8.2 would be when the area is unlocked. Just think about it, we have had the expac out for how long and 8.1.5 is when weāre finally getting Kul Tiran and Zandalari that have been around from the start. They want to make it so theyāre released in believable timeā¦I just think itād be too fast especially when theyāre neutral towards both factions when it opens. 8.2 should have an AR already ready to go when itās roughly time for it to comeā¦Junker would make more sense for 8.3, Iād think.
Lightforged draenei were introduced in 7.3, announced as allied race in Blizzcon 2017 and made playable in 7.3.5. Void elves were (shodily) introduced and made playable in 7.3.5. So, thereās precedent.
I think we will see allied races in 7.2.5 and 7.3.5. When they are introduced or how long theyāve existed before being madeplayable does not matter that much. I just hope they donāt repeat the void elf case, in which a race is hastily introduced for the first time and never gets time to be properly developed.
Hah! That gave me a chuckle, nice one.
I still have faith that weāll get to play as these little guys. My only reason for thinking we donāt have them yet is that whatever theyāll be paired with isnāt finished yet, be that sethrak or junker gnomes.
