Vulpera Discussion Megathread (Part 1)

I actually did not know that!..that’s really interesting actually and possibly gives rhyme or reason behind what happens…but why go after an entire race for a few caravans? xD; then again…it IS horde vs alliance <.< so that much shouldn’t surprise me

I spent all my  for the day. But know that you will receive one from me tomorrow :kissing_smiling_eyes: :kissing_smiling_eyes:

Assuming they don’t fix the bug allowing unsubbed folks from posting ;D

Man, you and me both. Big argh, I can’t wait to not have to deal with like counts.

Makes me want to go back and steal all my earlier  away!

I believe that in some quest text from Nisha, she says that it is because they’re transported supplies for the Horde through Vol’dun. That’s how it currently reads on the PTR, and I suppose it makes a bit of sense at least

I find that really interesting then, that will be a good push for the vulpera to get the horde’s support then since it’s their supplies and get the backing and wrath of the horde. Which, I can understand would retaliate and lead the horde to attacking the alliance base as a result…though what would make the sethrak want to assist them at that point, I have no idea, maybe an attack on Private James, the one who helped/was responsible for assisting Vorrik from death. Otherwise I don’t know where the story could go from there but I’m very interested to find out~

They are so cute. And they have such great personalities. I hope we get them.

BLIZZARD, PLAYABLE VULPERA OR WE RIOT!

This is a complete sentence.

I think the same!
I do not think it is appropriate for Alliance soldiers to kill vulperas without warning. Destroying their caravans is already very serious, even if they are just helping the horde, who aided them against the faithless!

And even if they were not being killed indiscriminately, as if they were indeed members of the horde, any act of aggression of the alliance would not be tolerated by the foxes, even if there were no dead among the vulperas, as a result of these actions of the alliance!

Well, somehow, something would have to happen to justify the horde and get the vultures as new members of the horde!

I remember ion said in an older interview that both sides will do questionable things. Perhaps the purge squads is one of those things?

Just as horde (players) were told not to, nor did they kill any civilians (in fact, they were told to evacuate them) in Darkshore, perhaps alliance players will have similar experience. Perhaps they (alliance players) simply talk, or even ignore the vulpera, while the NPCs (alliance purge squads) kills them (vulpera). So while players are innocent (not really, but anyway), their faction aren’t.

I think it’s all a matter of point-of-view (players’ or their faction as a whole). I mean, I (or any horde players) don’t remember killing civilians in Darkshore (if anything, we helped evacuate them) nor, say, Brennadam, but we kept getting told that we did, accused of being murderers because the actions of NPCs.

They don’t belong in the Horde either. They don’t fit the Horde at all.

…Coming from an elf. Yes, I said it, as an elf. There’s no “but [x] doesn’t belong in [faction]!” None of the arguments make any sense, and you can counter with practically everything. Vulpera are survivors in a harsh environment. If you don’t want to see that about them, then don’t play them, it’s not that difficult.

I feel like it’s another case of ‘I personally don’t see how they fit’ instead of taking the time to actually see what’s laid out behind them, looking at story built up around them, their lore, what would make them fit the bill so to speak. I feel like people should dig a little deeper a bit more instead of just stating their brief ideals on a subject as truth

You are joking, right?

The Horde? The band of misfit races from many different walks of life, all banding together for survival? Literally formed out of necessity?

They fit the Horde as much as Tauren do, if not more.

Dosen’t have to be Anduin’s orders there are those in the Alliance and I don’t mean big names like Malfurion or Genn but will jump the gun remeber the Goblin intro story no witnesses.

Yes because a group of resourceful desert dwelling survivalist who know how to fight don’t belong in the horde at all. They’re in no way like any other horde race what so ever… The race that least belongs in the horde is probably goblins. One could argue elves but considering the blood elves and nightborne history they do fit in their own unorthodox way. Goblins don’t have any of the ideals of the horde. Unlike Vulpera.

honestly…I don’t really see what the issue is with needing a sub to post in the forums. It doesn’t really make sense to me, as long as they’re not banned but that is something that can be managed…I don’t see the harm in people that dropped their subs getting in on discussion as long as it’s not negative and the like :o

These posts are always hilarous coming from a BE.

The Horde is all about being misfits.

And it sucks when BE players start considering themselves the gatekeepers of the Horde lol.

I agree with this. They do this a lot. Remember when we went to pandaria and the first thing the alliance did was enslave the pandaren to build bases for them, but the alliance players never even knew this happened?

They love to paint the opposite faction as the bad guys without letting that faction’s playerbase know what they did. Especially the alliance, the counterpart to this was warlocks following garrosh’s orders so it wasn’t even related to the horde that the players ended up a part of.

This. You don’t get what the horde is if you think vulpera won’t fit right in.
