Eh, not really sad. 8.1 isn't even releasing until December 11, and 8.1.5 is when the next ARs are released. That being said, we've got a LONG way to wait before any more allied races are even on the table.
I'd say look for Vulpera and Junker Gnomes in 8.2.5.

Vulpera for the Horde...Junker Gnomes...uugghh...for the Alliance.

well, Mechagnomes have been announced, so now room has been made that the alliance now has an allied race to mirror the Vulpera. so, only time will tell.

The good thing is they can be released anytime. I am happy about the zandalari classes. They showed 10 playable classes in the blizzcon presentation. Although the last time I checked the website it didnt show warlock.

I am teh sad. When he put "Allied Races" up on the board I was bouncing in my seat "Vulpera Vulpera Vulpera." Then the KulTiran and Zandalari models were displayed and I was instantly deflated.

This is where I am, too-- I mean, we didn't hear anything positive, but we also didn't hear anything negative. Maybe more story has to happen first.

It actually didn't occur to me that they really hadn't announced all that much about the Zandalari and Kul'Tirans yet. Most of what they showed we already knew, but that was only due to datamining. I guess it makes sense that the devs would be talking all about those two races this time around.

I should point out that they didn't mention ANY new allied races. They said "Mechagnomes exist", without saying they were an allied race (though that seems... kind of obvious)
If 8.2 plans to release an allied race, my bet is still on Vulpera for the horde.

As disheartening as it is to not hear anything, at least it was because they didn't say much about anything beyond 8.1. Still leaves the door open as there's several big ol' question marked silhouettes for future expansion.

Though to be fair I am absolutely annoyed AF by the junker gnomes. let it be a mystery, let us have the gnome ruins that are totally not a ripoff of Dwemer ruins infested with fully mechanized deathtraps... but don't just come up with junker gnomes and say they're comparable to the vulpera when the alliance wasn't even given a chance to actually interact with them before going in with flamethrowers and kill squads.
Especially since it looks like both the alliance and horde are going to get to play nice with the junker gnomes.

I dunno if Mechagnomes will be an allied race because gear would literally cover up everything that makes them different from gnomes. If anything they might just be a customization option, or pure NPCs. Good news is they are neutral and not an alliance exclusive thing. That would really suck for those of us who do not want Vulpera paired with Gnomes.
