This theory has been proposed before, and while it's possible blizzard could manipulate the lore a little bit to make this the case, there hasn't been any hard evidence that this is so just yet. The key wrench in this particular theory is that Mimiron is said to have found the base race in "the forests around Ulduar", while the Vulpera appear to be found exclusively in the areas around Zandalar. Now, this would have happened at a time before the sundering that sent Ulduar to Northrend and made Zandalar an island. However, even the pre-sundering maps don't show these areas particularly close together.
Now, there are some easy hand-wavey solutions Blizzard could use to make this theory canon. The easiest of these being that Vulpera were just more widespread than they are now. So we'll just have to wait and see.
Anyone else hyped at the fact we might actually get confirmation tmrw?! I just want it to be official so we can start prepping lmao. Anyone have any name ideas yet?

Yes I'm so looking forward to tomorrow! Its exciting to think we may actually hear something (especially if its something great).
Tentatively, I've started to think up names for a Sethrak lady, and I've def decided I want 'Kaa' in the name as a sneaky reference to Kaa from the Jungle Book.
I've never really been interested in rolling a warlock before, but for the sake of everyone who does like them I hope that Sethraks would be able to be them, even though we don't see examples of Sethrak warlocks ingame. It would just be too awesome. Imagine a Sethrak with black scales named 'Oldscratch'.
Plus all their cool tier sets would probably look great on them. I bet with the set that Putress wore (the robes with that weird wooden part on the facemask) that when they stick their tongues out it would come out just past that part on the helm.
At some point, if something is potentially awesome enough, you just gotta let it happen.
Keeping my fingers crossed for your cuddly little foxes too of course :)

Boa mate, works as a female Sethrak name, if you wanna do the full name could just go Boacondia as a more female sounding Boaconda.
It's been one hell of a year, everyone. Last BlizzCon we got to meet the Vulpera, and since then we've built quite the following of people who see the value in them. One way or the other, we will likely have our answer tomorrow, so thank you all for taking this journey with me.

I managed to snag Braixen for a fire mage and Vapreon for a Resto shaman on Malfurion.
Ghost I can’t wait for the news tonight. Gonna be vibrating in impatiens all day.

Pretty clear it'll be *something* I think. Could be wrong, but when even wowhead is speculating it it's easy to get your hopes up.
