I'm down for this.10/28/2018 06:06 PMPosted by SaiureOnce we get them, we need to organize a celebration event in Orgrimmar that makes the number of vulpera in the city during the foxtober event look tiny. I'd say do it a few weeks after they become available for unlock to give everybody time to unlock and make one.
I want to see Vulpera as a neutral allied race.
Blizzard needs to can this alliance - kill-the-vulpera garbage.
Yes, I want furry. Yes, I want furry available to all.
Really tired of seeing horde get all the nice things. Developers love horde and horde is why alliance can't have nice things.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Alliance has gotten plenty of nice things in BFA thus far.
I'm gonna call it, no Vulpera announcement at Blizzcon.

You had worgen for years though. Why should alliance get the wolves and the foxes? :P
10/30/2018 07:48 PMPosted by OrctangI'm gonna call it, no Vulpera announcement at Blizzcon.
I'm curious what we'd get instead though? Vulpera are already finished. Somebody's probably gonna get them.
Horde probably aren't going to get the lightforged undead. The only other thing could be Naga or something completely new, which I'd find surprising.
Unfortunately the sethrak thread hardly sees as much use. I'm just as enthusiastic but people feel there's little seen as them becoming allied race. I really have high hopes with how much work and effort Blizz has put into them: capes, heart of azeroth stance, animations, removeable armor, etc etc.
Though I keep seeing everyone going 'nope, you're getting mechagnomes/junker gnomes.' I've not even heard nor seen ANYthing about them and it's honestly getting annoying xD
I feel confident that the next allied races will be Vulpera and the Sethrak, horde/alliance in correspondence. I know the Sethrak have little to do with the alliance for now, but I REALLY feel that things will really develop with them and we'll get a tighter bond with them as well.
Though...I'm curious what the reasoning is behind this purge...there has to be some kind of reasoning behind it, some event that triggered that wasn't shown in the PTR, any good writer (yea, I know about their writing) wouldn't just leap into something that has no connections to an already existing event: because of THIS we had no choice but to do THAT.
What I DON'T understand though, is why keep it secret? I think silence is golden in this case, that neither one has been shut down and the fact that they've been showing off models since last year's blizz con (at least of the sethrak)...I almost feel like the vulpera 'leak' in datamining was intentional to build this kind of hype.
Long story short...here's to hoping they announce some kind of good news for both the Vulpera and Sethrak this weekend <3

Make them Playabllllllllllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeee ! PLEASE ! Uber cuteness overload Batman !
Only thing I'll ask is this: PLEASE don't do the same that you did with the current new BFA races, like a TON of requirements, do this, do that, etc..etc..etc... We (the heroes) helped these cute furrballs a LOT so, why would we have to do a TON more for them to decide to Join the Horde (or Alliance/I wouldn't mind :)) ?
(IF) Blizzard has no intention on making them playable then I will ask this: PLEASE stop trolling us with such cute races if they're not gonna be playable ! Just don't make new ones! Thank you ! That's just FOXED up ! :)

It'll be in 8.2 or later.
8.1 is Zandalari Trolls and Kul'Tiran Humans, that is all. Else they would've datamined Heritage Armor for them and a counter race for the Alliance by now.
I know they probably won't be warlocks (I can dream) but I'll definitely roll a rogue. I know, so original, but the idea of having a caravan of sneaky little thieves is adorable. They're basically WoW's version of the Khajiit from The Elder Scrolls.
I honestly expected the Vulpera to have raspy voices with heavy accents. XD
- - they both live in the deserts
- travel via caravan to sell their goods
- value cleverness, stealth, and resourcefulness
- the north of their continents are lush jungles and the south scorching deserts
- their races both experienced slavery to a greater empire (Dunmer/Sethrak)

And Blizzard said Allied Races would be added in major patches, so since Zandalari and Kul'tirans are being added in 8.1 it's safe to assume if Vulpera/Sethrak are the next ones it'd be in 8.2 and by then there should be story for Sethrak. Probably having Horde have their own version of Purge Squads. XD

I think it's time for brutal honesty:
The narrative isn't going to be dropped; the Vulpera were always meant for the Horde and only the Horde, right from the very beginning.
It's crystal clear at this point that the Alliance is not getting Vulpera, so continuing to stay hopeful for it is an utterly futile endeavor.

Yeah, didn't Blizz say that making Pandaren neutral was a mistake and didn't want to do that neutral stuff again? I don't know where I heard it, but... I feel the purge squads are a big flag of, "NO ALLIANCE." Here's hoping you guys get Sethrak then?

I...I don't think there ever was legitimate hope that the Vulpera would join the Alliance. Like, at all.
The entire reason Alliance Sethrak hype survived as long as it did is because Vorrik let the Alliance set up shop in his backyard. But the vulpera have absolutely 0 positive interactions with the Alliance. They actively refuse to sell their wares to the Alliance

It might seem silly but the direction this team has taken wow is probably what kills it for me. Vulpera is definitely high on my list of things to do but ... rep grinding, rep grinding, level grinding, rep grinding to get them... after I just got done doing it with my fam on alliance for void elves... they won't go for it. So they'll just play something else most likely.
Best time in wow has been having my two kids, wife, and brother all play together and level up pandas during legion. It was silly and a blast. Pandas are furry. They're neutral. But I get it... don't hold my breath.
/sigh
As much as I want Vulpera, I worry I'll unlock them and feel the same level of 'meh' I did with Nightborne and stop at level 33. I hope rolling a new class will make me enjoy it, but, I'm unsure. Pretty sad I realized the only thing I was excited for if leveling a Vulpera was seeing the rogue class hall and doing their class quest cause it'd be something different.10/30/2018 10:37 PMPosted by Valhallen10/30/2018 09:50 PMPosted by TiycreauxIt's crystal clear at this point that the Alliance is not getting Vulpera, so continuing to stay hopeful for it is an utterly futile endeavor.

I was only able to level my Highmountain Tauren Hunter because I wanted to see the class hall, the class quests, and get the class mount. I know once I get to Zandalar however it's the same quests, no variety, grinding rep to unlock pieces of the war campaign. All the armor sets look the same so I can't even be like, "ooo rogue got this cool outfit." or, "Wow warlock got this badass set!" It's just, "cloth wearers got this so all mages, priests, and warlocks will look the same. Neat."
Maybe I'm just burnt out. I don't get why I feel so cynical. I was so hyped for this expansion too.
That and Voldunai rep is exclusive to Horde for as far as I know and Vulpera are 100% represent through that.10/30/2018 10:12 PMPosted by Nelthius10/30/2018 09:50 PMPosted by Tiycreaux...

Let's not forget that rep might not even be needed, blizzard has stated that not every allied race will be behind a rep grind. If the sethrak are one as well, alliance has a race tied to 7th legion. It wouldn't make sense to have two...and at this time no other rep makes sense.
If they're tied in together, the Vulpera and the sethrak as allied races, it'd be a problem to have one rep locked and the other not...or have one already done and create a new rep for the other. So we'll find out soon enough!

you never know! Their heritage armor might be TOTALLY worth it! There's no saying that you would even need to grind -any- rep with them, either, especially if it's the vol'dun rep you've already done :). Blizzard has said that not all allied races will be tied to a rep lock, so here's to hoping these guys aren't :D
