You know, I was thinking about unlocks of allied races, and an idea occurred to me. So for, all six allied races have been a simple rep grind, and a quest line completion, and we don't know yet what unlocks the trolls or KTs.
Blizzard has said they didn't want just a rep grind as the only way to unlock a race, so I suspect they'll start mixing it up by possibly giving the 8.1 allies a set of quests/tasks your faction needs to do in 8.1 to unlock them.
Fast forward to 8.2 and Vulpera and Sethrak, they have an interesting way to, via what we already know about 8.1 quests, mix things up a bit. What if their unlock, is cross faction! On alliance side you have to complete quests linked to the invitation and takeover of Vul'dun, driving the Vulpera into the arms of the Horde and unlocking them for play on your Horde side. Similar, on Horde you play through the demands that the Sethrak join you fully rather then staying neutral ending in a retributive attack that drives them into the Alliance and making them playable.
Would cause some problems for those who don't cross faction play, but there are a number of single faction folk who that would be what gets them to switch, rather then needed to grind a new cross faction alt just to play the race you want.
Kinda want to make a vulpera warrior. Imagine something fluffy and tiny dual wielding two-handers, or using the bulwark of azzinoth

I think that so many people just play single-faction that they wouldn't pull a thing like this; like when people misunderstood why both factions had things listed under Pathfinder, a lot of people were upset with the idea of having to level another toon for it.
Otherwise though, creative thinking. They could make the intro quest for both races really good.

Good time to bring up unique animations. Vulpera monk kinda makes me think of Tarutaru monks in FFXI getting a backflip for their Asuran Fists animation.
As to being surprised that this thread is uncapped, I'm really not. It shows just how popular the idea of having playable Vulpera is. I know I'm selling a lot of people short here because I don't know a lot of them but we have people like Eevee and Byucknah to thank for that. Along with many others I imagine.

I went through hell to get the warrior challenge shield and flail just for a future vulpera warrior tank xD it was miserable but it'll be so worth it... whenever that day comes that is. (Pretty much 100% confident vulpera will be playable, just wish that could be sooner.)

I have actually been trying to think of a good Vulpera name for awhile now. Mine is hopefully gonna be a Paladin. And if not Paladin then a Rogue. Paladin as an available class for them sounds kinda like a stretch. But pretty sure anything without hooves can be a rogue in this game lol.
I actually had a dream where they announced vulpera at blizzcon; that's how much on the brain it's been for me. xD

You truly humble and flatter me with your kind words and praise, but its certainly thanks to everyone and especially thanks to the good attitude that everyone in this community has :)
Though I will say, while the kind words and praise really are uplifting I honestly can not take much credit for anything because this is all thanks to all of yalls effort.

First time posting here, I think.
I finally made a Horde character, and experienced Vol'dun to know the vulpera. They are interesting, for sure. Not a very complex race, but they have their charm, and not every race needs a complex background. They are brave, resourceful and cunning. Their models are great.
