I think most that Iâve seen dislike the Kulâtiran not because they are closely related to the Human race we already had, but because they are overweight. Which, honestly, is pretty stupid if you ask me. I think âoverweight humansâ would have been better received had they been included as an additional customization option.
But for Alliance Allied Races in general, I really like the Void Elves and Mechagnomes. But I was a Gnome when I was Alliance until VEs were brought in, itâs the only Alliance race I actually liked prior to Allied Races (Gnomes). For me, those two are most definitely not âmehâ.
Iâm not real sure how any of the Horde races are âcontroversialâ, but most of them are pretty meh. Even the Zandalari Trolls, which I was originally really excited for, are just blah after making one. I do really enjoy the Nightborne, though. And I prefer the Magâhar Orcs over the original Orcs even though theyâre not spectacular I just like the brown skin better than the green skin (again, something that could have just been added as a customization option).
Because bringing a race into the faction is different than just having one that is part of the faction. Iâm not sure why this is so hard for people to understand honestly.
We did not, as our character in game, have to befriend and convince any of those races to join our faction. They were already part of the faction. How you canât see the difference is beyond me. But it seems from your posts that you have a problem understanding the meaning of things, or how things work, anyway so I guess I shouldnât be surprised.

Our characters did not have to befriend and invite any of these races to their respective factions. You might be able to argue that Pandaren were âinvitedâ, but not reallyâŚthey were found and joined one or the other but didnât have to be convinced to do so.
Vulpera do, in fact, ask to join the Horde, but only because the Horde befriended, and protected them from the Alliance (albeit after we brought them into the war but I digress).
Regardless, you were talking about why Allied races have to be rep gated when other races do not and I was telling you the difference between Allied Races and regular races.
Additionally, never before in the history of WoW have we gotten ten (10âŚcount them⌠1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) new races in a single expansion. And yes, I do count the original 4 as part of BFA because you either had to pre-purchase BFA to unlock them or wait until BFA launched to do so (even though the reps are related to the previous expansion).

I get where this guyâs coming from. Hopefully someday they will remove faction requirements and unlock quests for us to roll these allied race toons. They might even attract new players to the game who might be interested in playing a vulpera (or other allied races for that matter) but donât want to slog through the rep grinds on another toon to do it.
What rep grind? Battle for Azeroth has been out for almost a year and a half. Most people that casually played wouldâve had the requirements done a year ago just by playing 5-10 minutes here and there.
Sounds like a you issue to me. I love being able to work for cosmetic rewards that interest me.
