Unfortunately for everyone, Eudora isnā€™t a regular vulpera model. Back in the Alpha, Vulpera had non-PC-rigged models. When they updated with new models that had PC rigging, they gave all the NPCs new models with player clothing except Eudora. She still uses the alpha model based on the old goblin. Thatā€™s why she has a tiny tail and weird proportions. It also means her clothing is built right into her model and canā€™t be worn by anybody else. :<

Thatā€™s sad, Iā€™m sad.

Visiting here to say hi and enjoy the positivity of the vulpera people. At least thereā€™s a place in this forum where someone is happy. Iā€™m envious.

I think vulpera are the most welcome original allied race and one of the best remodels in the game. Itā€™s crazy how they took the goblin model and created something so different out of it. And they got fleshed out in a really organic way. They are proof that lore does not need to be complex in order to be good.

Agreed. There is the occasional unreasonable hater but, overall, it is wonderful how quickly interest grew for the Vulpera. Popularity is not everything, of course, but that hype is somewhat contagious and I think it helped renew my enthusiasm for World of Warcraft, overall. Iā€™ve sincerely enjoyed Battle For Azeroth and I think the possibility of Vulpera in the background is a big part of the reason why.

Iā€™ve seen a lot of hate due to those points. They werenā€™t a goblin offshoot how dare horde get an new race. I think that also has to do with people not liking Mechagnomes(no hate to people who are excited, not my thing though). Never mind Kulā€™tirans got a whole new rig, that never seems to problem.

It kinda felt like the horde getting the Nightborne all over again. XD

I still see Vulpera hate threads pop up more then Mechagnomes but haters going to hate. Having another beast race is good. Plus they have the best stealth animations in the game which is the gobo females. I have a fem gobo rouge just for her stealth animations.

Donā€™t let anyone tell you guys you canā€™t like the foxes. You do you you wonderful people. <3

I have always liked animal based races in fantasy RPGā€™s. Theyā€™re usually among the most interesting races with regards to their history, theme, and aesthetics. Despite this, I donā€™t consider myself as a furry at all. I also donā€™t consider myself a scalie despite lizardmen being my favorite fantasy race.

That said, I try to respect everyone as best as I can and I have no problem with furries. I just see awesome people here and look forward to celebrating playable Vulpera with everyone in the near future!

i wonder if vulpera will be popular enough to cut some of the elf numbers :relaxed:

There was a tweet from Muffinus, joking that next week the Horde will look different, that it will be all Vulpera and blood elves. Heh.

As someone whoā€™s really disappointed by BfA overall (but can reckognize what was done right), I think the problem is not in the mechagnomes or in the kul tirans (new rig or not, their appearance is very niche) per se, but in the whole set Alliance got.

I think Horde races just ended up more appealing overall. Zandalari, nightborne (despite the model flaws) and vulpera are awesome additions to the Horde, adding elements the faction didnā€™t have before. Magā€™har were an old request, and came with upright orcs (another old request that made orcs 100% cooler). Of the Horde races, only highmountain are really niche.

Alliance, on the other hand, feel like a bunch of niche races. Mechagnomes and kul tirans are not for everyone, lightforged feel cheap and even the most sucessful race, void elves, came out as a bitter twist for many Alliance fans. Only dark irons were an old request, but they are still dwarves (not very popular) and some players wanted wildhammers instead.

So, Itā€™s one thing when you get that race that you really like, it doesnā€™t matter that much what the other four are. But, when all five feel underwhelming, you start to feel jealousy (the grass is always greener in the other side).

But enough of that. Vulpera are awesome and thatā€™s what matters in this thread. Oh, and the vulpera comunity in the forums here and elsewhere are just as awesome. Itā€™s good to see people happy.

I know I will be doing my part already considering changing my DK main.

I donā€™t think vulperas can do such a feat.
They are unlikely to be a threat to the blood elvesā€™ hegemony.
Blood elves should still be more desired than vulperas.

Maybe Vulperas is the 3rd most played race in Warcraft? Perhaps!

Iā€™m expecting vulpera to be around the same popularity as nightborne (currently the 3rd most played allied race).

Theyā€™d be higher than that if they didnā€™t require to be unlocked.

I wouldnā€™t argue there between the time it takes to fill the requirements and the quests chains there would be those who do find it a hassle but they most certainly would have to be top 3 at least.

I agree with everything you said!
And that is the problem. What alliance received did not arouse the same feeling that vulperas did in horde and alliance players.

Sad, but true!

While I donā€™t hate Mechagnomes and so intend to make one even though I still feel a tinker class would have helped sell them better as a race but yeah they could have pushed more effort even Kulā€™tirans were rather meh when they could have given up Vryukul or at least make the Kultirans look more similar to them.
