Thank you! One last question! which language do you think fits them the most, them being nomads? I don’t want to end up being racist some how, like how some people react to chinese names on pandaran x__x

I ended up with;
Meja and Azaru. Originally Azar, but that one was taken.

Meja comes from the Old Norse mäghin, meaning “power”, “force”.

Azar is a girl’s name of Iranian origin meaning “fire”.

I have taken some time to look around at what names the Vulpera have to see what patterns there are in regards gender, syllable construction, and phonemes used.
On WRA at least, I will go with names which fit these patterns.

Maybe now that they’re more buddy buddies with the zandalari they could be interested in Loa?

Imagine a teeny tiny Vulpera following Kragwa as a Loa XD

I am pretty sure the light is named Akunda, everything else is.

Azaru is better, anyway. Most Vulpera names seem to end with a vowel sound. They also tend to be short and usually two syllables, but sometimes three. I believe I read somewhere that Japanese names were an inspiration for their naming conventions. (Even though their culture is a cross between Bedouin and Romani)

Good morning! :coffee:

How many days are left ‘til Vulpera release day? Is the number of days left even remotely acceptable?

8 days left!

Yep. Less than 200 hours now.

After I tamed Lightning Paw the other day my Hunter is ready for the race change. First thing I’m going to do once I make the race change is kill some NPCs called “Alliance Fox Hunter” I stumbled upon while roaming around. Killing them as a Fox character with a Fox pet will be amusing.

“What’s the best part about joining the Horde? We finally get revenge on Gilneas for all those fox hunts!” Heh.

PTR just had an update and is officially tagged for Release! (We’re good to go for next week). Still no Allied Race DK’s, though.

Found this odd… I thought we would have at least seen them able to run around in Orgrimmar by now. Ah well.

Same. I’d have understood them keeping the intro dialogue secret, but I expected the functionality to have been tested. But it’s official it won’t happen on PTR now (since this is the Release build). A couple small things missing for Vulpera, too. No intro dialogue yet and their language tag does not appear (when you are speaking in their language). I also expected something more to be done with the racial tabard, when I first saw it, but it has remained the same.

WAIT… Vulpera have their own language?!

Yeah. I’m told it works, too. But it doesn’t have the proper tag when using it, yet. (The reason I had to be told it works is that I haven’t played as a Horde race other than Vulpera on PTR… why would I? :stuck_out_tongue: )

For anyone interested in seeing the Vulpera language, Maggie (me) is speaking it, the [Vulpera] tag is not displaying:

Apparently it’s a reference to What Does The Fox Say? Even so, I do like the idea of the Vulpera language being random sounds-- I mean, foxes make some weird sounds, and I’m always for races getting their own language for RP stuff.

Didn’t think I could get more excited… but here I am.

I think I’m gonna always speak in Vulpera language, myself. Haha.

RC and patterns still aren’t showing up on tails. 8 days might be too soon.
