At the same time, though, the Allied Races have different histories and backgrounds and itās good they get voice lines, racials, and heritage armors that reflect those differences. That couldnāt be accomplished with customization options alone.

I kinda want to but I like BE Monk as well. I do have 2 horde monks though.
I played a Vulpera monk on PTR some - that does look awesome. Had to take a couple screenshots. Heh.

I only just now got revered with Zandalari, Iām kind of tempted to swap to a contract with them instead seeing as I have more than enough time to grind my Vulpera rep. A prot pally troll sounds really interesting right about now.

To those who wanted all I to say, why. My daughters who never played wow want one. They are joyed for it. Now there goes my paycheck for the next two years.
First is was worgen form my line-in kid. Now itās foxes. I never wanted to play one. Nope be busy helping them get them. URgggg
I like the mechagnomes and to a lesser degree worgens. There goes our gaming time for the week for next god only knows to get them caught up.

Iāve spent the last couple weeks playing on the PTR.
Not so that I can test the new patch.
Just to run around as a Vulpera and get a feel for them.
I love love love the forward roll they do in the air when they jump.

Youāre going to be very busy, and I hope they have the patience to get through the rep grind.
I thought about going ahead to make a hunter and race changing later but wouldnāt that invalidate you for heritage armor?
And from a roleplaying perspective itād kind of mess me up I guess starting one way and ending up another. Even if I donāt necessarily engage in RP with other people, in the back of my mind Iām kind of cooking up a story and context for everything as I go.
Which kind of makes playing one difficult in a way, like, a Vulpera really has no business in BC or Wrath. A lot of early Cata zones can easily be handwaved as a new Vulpera dealing with some basic Horde problems. But the Panda stuff happened during a specific time period too. So itāll be weird rationalizing stuff once Iām out of the vanilla/cata zones.

If you boost or race change into an allied race, you do not get their heritage armor. I will be race-changing my hunter, but leveling plenty others-- so I will be getting the heritage armor through that.
If the questing through old areas bothers you so much, you could always wait until the new Shadowlands leveling experience comes out. That way you would be able to select Cata/BfA to quest/level through.
I personally donāt care. My Vulperas will all quest through these old zones, sure, but that doesnāt mean it has to tie in to their character stories. Iāll be flagged out of character anyway.
I usually make up a new RP for a race change. For some characters though including my main I have a head-canon explanation for it. Always the same character. Theyāll be going Vulpera in 8.3. Iāll level an alt from scratch for heritage armour.
Just consider it your character time traveling. And they are even gonna make that part of the story when they add the new level scaling - Chromie will be the one who sets you on the path to the expansion you level through.

Nah itās not like a dealbreaker or anything, just kind of a minor thing that nags me as I play. And the problem with waiting for the leveling restructure is Iād have to wait even longer to play my Vulpera. 
Iām definitely going hunter first so maybe I can save an alt for an expansion focused playthrough.
I already want to do a DH through BC, a DK through WotLK and a Panda through MoP. So Iāll have Cata, WoD (bleh), Legion and BfA (also bleh) to pick for a more RP-ish playthrough down the line.
I mean I can finagle some explanation that satisfies me, even if itās something as simple as my Vulpera coming years after the initial stuff as a sort of cleanup crew.
While Iām thinking about it, does anyone have any cool mogs for their Vulpera yet? Or is that not really on the PTR?
Most of my mogs havenāt been copied over.
