I agree, but it’s a no win situation because what about the people being punished when the kickers are the jerk. At least this way the group can kick but the person kicked can queue.

Why I always queue with a friend.

We go the path we want, and if the third wheel wants to run off on their own, let him. Most of the time they just follow us though.

I am just reflecting your karma. it is not disgusting. it is merely giving a taste of your own medicine.

It’s a simple choice.

The old system potentially punished up to FOUR players. The new system punishes (perhaps unjustly) ONE player.

Nobody is saying its a perfect system. But, until something better comes along, VtK and the debuff is here to stay.

I agree, but I’m focusing on the toxic behavior of the group doing the kicking if for example they don’t like the transmog they are wearing and kick them.

We are both right, it’s just a matter of which is the toxic ones the one being kicked or the kickers.

There is no easy answer to this.

Ok, I can see that. All things being equal, the majority wins.

That’s a valid point you make.

Acting holier than thou doesn’t help your cause. It just makes you look like a petty vindictive little tart.

You just came in to whine about being kicked. It happens to all of us.

Had you come in with specific details about how to improve the system, people would be more civil. But you’re just being a little tart.

It doesn’t matter which is which, the system is working per design. The majority clicked the button to initiate the kick. Whether warranted or not, the majority said they did not want X person with them.

Simple solution, as someone else suggested, run with a friend or two depending on content type to avoid being kicked. If you still end up being kicked while running with majority control in the group, well, you have some lousy friends.

I agree. Verdre’s post about 4 vs 1 convinced me. All things being equal (sometimes the kickers are the jerks and sometimes the kicked are jerks) then majority rules.

There is no simple solution to this, but as stated, all things equal, majority.

an abuse of the system is pretty much “i got kicked and didn’t like it”

Wish it on me. Go for it. I will never see any indications of your curse on me. There is a 0% chance I will EVER be vote to kicked. That would require me doing queueable content.

did you even read my original post in its entierity?

Yup, been having this issue for quite some time. I died and lost the darkmoon fair buff at the start of a dungeon. I said “I’ll be back in a sec, just gotta get the buff” and was kicked.

It’s almost like she wasn’t responding to you. If only there was an arrow thing in the top right of the post that told you that. Not everything in this thread is addressed at you pumpkin.

You were in the wrong here. The group decided - and you agreed - to pull big. Then you did the opposite.

So 2 things you should do differently next time

  1. hold dps until the tank has a big group. Then go ham.

  2. if you peel one or two off the tank, don’t just kill them solo away from the big group. Kite them into the group.

To me it seems that the majority of people that start threads like these often come across as looking worse than those they are complaining about.

Like, after a few responses from forum members and the OP’s rebuttal’s, I’m all “Yeah, I can see why this person was kicked.”

I also never said there isn’t potential for abuse. No system is perfect. Any system can be abused. However, until there is something better, we have to deal with this system.

I’d love to see something better. I think a lot of people would. And if someone came up with a system that was fair but still gave us the power to deal with immature little jerks, I’d be more than willing to push Blizzard to test it on PTR.

Yep.

Hmmm maybe a flag system like we have on the forums, where if someone gets kicked and thinks it’s unfair, can flag the kickers. Only if a kicker gets X number of flags, then Blizzard can look at that situation and take action. Same for the kicked. Flag them and if they get X number of flags, Blizzard looks into it and takes action.

Maybe the number of flags can be high otherwise it can be abused as well, but if they get a ton of flags, it should be brought to Blizzards attention and they can look into it just like the forums.
