Is it possible for y’all to just send feedback to Blizz in game about your ideas on how to “fix” the VTK system and stop being hostile to each other here?
This thread popped up after I quoted Vrak in another thread. And now he has to deal with all of the notifications from this, because people need to in depth analyze his response.
Just put your feedback in using the in game tool provided and that way, your voice is heard and this hostility against each other can cease.
For fudge sake, even my Discord was brought into this, which someone not even in my Discord let me know… while no one from my Discord is even posting in this thread or the other one, yet they’re getting attacked?? They probably don’t even know these threads exist or care. Geebus.

It doesn’t take a genius to realize that’s what will happen in these cases when you just got kicked and your emotions are high. You’re not messaging the person who just kicked you saying “excuse me good sir, might I inquire as to the reason I was kicked from the dungeon please?” “oh yeah your DPS was low” “oh thank you for informing me good sir, bonne soiree”. A vast majority of people are going to start yelling and berating the person who kicked them.
It’s not griefing and it’s not reportable because they are allowed to kick you for any reason, or no reason at all. You may not like that that’s the case, but that is Blizzard’s stance, which means they aren’t punishing anyone for it.

My daughter was kicked for not handing over a piece of gear another player wanted. Doesn’t seem fair to me.
absolutely agree.
just really hard to find a balance of players abusing a group trolling in a dungeon…or abusing them with the kick.
children will be children, so daddy has to keep a constant eye on them since they cant be trusted to behave like adults.
Careful trying to reason around here. It seems to go poorly.

I’ve seen players get kicked because they are 1 lvl lower than the tank and I’ve seen players get kicked as soon as everyone zones in to the dungeon. But most groups don’t do this, just a few. Blizzard should remove the 30 minute timer so that if people get kicked for no reason they can re-q and go on with their day.

when/if those rules change, I’ll be right there with you to say it is griefing. but right now it just isn’t.

- climbing timers. first kick, let’s give them a freebie, next kick 15 mins, the one after 30.

If it happens so often they call it a problem, wouldn’t that eventually make them perma banned from queueing?
The vote to kick system is problematic. People will continue to complain about it, legitimately so. As with many aspects of the game that are problematic, people will propose many possible fixes, some of which might be positive and others that might be worse. And as always, those who benefit most from the current design will fight like all heck to keep it unchanged.

Those who like to vote kick others for no reason and have a dopamine release will continue to fight it. That is absolutely the truth.

There is a timer after a kick is initiated, and it does build up (First timer being like over a minute or something if I remember correctly). How ever, if changed to 15 minutes, remove a player who decides to AFK, then all of a sudden, another player comes in and decides to be toxic. Does that mean people should wait until after the dungeon is done to remove the person from the group?
You guys are the only ones “fighting” anything. Blizz’s rules line up with our thought process and is in writing. There’s no fight, it’s extremely clear cut.
