Vortex Pinnacle is Terrible

This dungeon is turbo mega giga turbo badddddd. This place needs an absolute mega nerf. First, bosses in Fortified have way too much health it feels. Only take like 20 seconds less than tyrannical??? But Vortex Pinnacle needs heavy nerfs. The first mobs need to only cast the ability that throws you in the air once per fight its so annoying. It’s just the worst dungeon. Why not give us normal deadmines from classic rather than this Vortex garbage? Also that added mechanic to Altraisussususi is so annoying. Jump mechanic is dumb on final boss. The last two pulls before the final boss are straight up broken. Awful place.
Rant over.

Nope, Fortified is way overtuned this week. Tyrannical felt perfect last week. Did an 11 vortex with 6 minutes left. 12 Vortex with 10 minutes over and 2 minutes over. It’s absolutely awful. Every other dungeon feels awful on fortified this week. I can’t believe I actually want Tyrannical back. Major fortified nerfs needed.

Thanks for sharing. But I disagree. I had a lot of fun this week, and we could push higher keys than we did on week 1. Overall, I feel like the tuning is pretty even this time between fortified and tyrannical compared to previous seasons…at least on the key levels that I run.

That dungeon really dosent need nerfs in reality.

The mobs that spawn the shield is probably the most annoying part of the dungeons

Dragon boss also still feels cringe

Tyrannical only increases boss health by 30%. So losing that, the bosses have 100/130 = 76.923% as much health as tyrannical week. If you take about 86.66 seconds to kill a boss on tyrannical, it should take 20 seconds less on fortified. That’s not an abnormal length of time to be fighting a boss in the 12-14 range.

Don’t get me wrong, the dungeon is a pug killer. But the boss length isn’t the problem when people know mechanics.

I’m old. How does a boss “feel cringe?”

Can just use it as a like a synonym to annoying pretty much

For the mobs that knock you in the air. Have you thought of… moving out of the aoe (says a hunter that can pew pew even when knocked up). The shied dudes can get a little annoying tho. But thats easly change by… moving to there back

If anything its the last big mobs with the lighting attack. People still fail to stand inside the lighting when the mob pops off his lighting attack on you

Still a piss easy dugg to do

Maybe if you provided more objective evidence and had looked across multiple groups doing this key, you might have a case.

My objective evidence (image below) is that it’s the only key that I two-chested a +16 this week, so that sort of refutes your statement and suggests that it was easier than any other dungeon I ran on Fortified so far.

I’m not naïve enough to think that’s the only factor, nor that the evidence from a single run is representative of how thousands of groups fail or succeed in Vortex Pinnacle. Maybe you should look at LOTS more data showing the number of successfully timed keys vs number of attempts at that key level before even thinking about if this dungeon is out-of-line with others?

Wind dragon guy is a boss I never thought I’d have to deal with again. What a dumb encounter. Place is easy though.

And here’s how you identify the issue.

Come on, you can jump . Everyone can jump. Jump like half a second before. You’ll be fine. Anyone dying on ANY of the bosses in VP is not paying attention.

The trash? Sure, I know it’s weird to have trash with mechanics.

Sounds like a skill issue. The dungeon is fine.

I just find it to be a mechanics issues. That dungeon almost broke me as a healer though ngl. Thankful for life grip, mass dispel, purify, and all of the panic heals for that last boss lol.

eh, I do feel like some of the trash this week is overtuned

but Vortex Pinnacle isn’t really one of the problems.

freehold enforcers. halls dragons. etc.

also VP bosses this week are cake, if you’re struggling with them it’s a L2P issue not a tuning issue.

Well and this is just punishing you for not doing prio damage to them and buffing them into a raid boss. I really enjoy the required play adjustment like this.

eh I’m the tank, my prio damage doesn’t make that much of a difference. I think they and their dogs just hit way too hard.

but you’re right, if dps doesn’t prio them it’s probably game over.

Bolstering is a dps affix so yeah you and the healer can chill and then panic when dps fail the affix.

I timed it pretty smoothly on a 14 this week. All the trash was nicely tuned and there wasn’t anything that stood out that had myself or the group going “WTF”.

Even doing it on Tyrannical the first week it was pretty casual strolling through it.

Gotta give credit where credit is due, but Blizz did do a good job tuning Vortex Pinnacle over all.

VP has a lot of individual responsibility in it for a dungeon. It’s a newb stomper, but over time, people will get better at it.

Kind of reminds me of plaguefall
