So I was doing the BFA Vol’jin questline where he figures out who told him to make Sylvanas Warchief, and I got to where I saw Bwonsamdi in Nazmir, but he did’nt give me a quest after that. After redoing Atal’Dazar 7x, I decided maybe the quest was glitched due to me still having the Urn in my inventory, so I dropped the urn hoping to abandon quest, and pick it back up. I’ve done all my research, and my guild told me to send in a ticket. (you guys made that complicated), and so I take to the forums. I believe the quest I’m supposed to get is “To the Broken Shore” where Vol’jin was stabbed. I need a GM to help me figure this out, and maybe give me the Urn back if I need it. I’m stuck on this quest, and I loved Vol’jin, so I’d appreciate if I could actually finish the quest. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I’ll be watching this like a hawk.

Here is more info on the quest chain for Vol’jin:
Two things:
- It sounds like you placed the Urn in Atal’Dazar, then turned the quest in at Bwonsamdi in Nazmir. He will not give you another quest there. You need to go back to the main hub (Dazar’alor), and look at your map. You should see a quest now in the city.
- You cannot see the quest if you’re doing the Zandalar Troll unlock quest. Finish it first.
So I have to be exalted with the Empire to unlock it?
I’ll catch up on everything, but the only quests that are locked behind exalted rep are the Zandalari allied race unlock. I only hit there maybe two or three weeks before the patch IIRC, but had done the Vol’jin questline long before that.

And on the contrary, they made this a whole lot easier, actually. People can’t just ticket in for anything and everything, anymore. It only wasted a GMs time when it involved something they weren’t able to assist with. The options available to us now are things they specifically have the ability to help with.
There are two quests named this, so double-check that you aren’t looking at the Legion version. Once you’ve spoken to Bwonsamdi in his necropolis after placing the urn in the dungeon, Talanji is supposed to give you the next quest.
Sorry, I didn’t mean to confuse you on this… you don’t need to be exalted to do the Vol’jin questline. It’s just a possible issue that if you happen to be doing the Zandalari Troll unlock, it can phase the questgivers.
If you’re not on that questline, you should be able to find the next step of the Vol’jin story from Bwonsamdi in Dazar’alor (not in the Necropolis/Nazmir).
The quest will be “The Lost Spirit”. You won’t get a cookie quest for it. It will be on the map in Dazar’alor.
