Void/Blood Elf Druids

I know this has already been discussed ad nauseam, but they are both elves and we need more choices for druids. Plus, both would have amazing druid forms. Just throwing it out there in hopes that someone who makes decisions makes it happen.

Sure, im for it. I wished everyone could play the druid race of their choice.
Personnaly, as long as shadowmeld will be stuck to 1 race i will stay a night elf.
And my favorite forms are not the racial ones, they are available to all

Well it’s coming eventually, it’s just a matter of when, I honestly thought it be sooner Druid get open used to all races as in DF S4, a lot of the cutscenes with Fyrak and Druids of the Flame had Blood Elves.

It’s coming just who knows when. :man_shrugging:t4:

I’ve always wanted to be a Thalassian Elven Druid. I hope the new Lynx models might be a beginning towards designing its eventual forms. I also think that at some point, we should see more if not all races opening up to Druids… However, due to the complexity of the forms, I recall it was previously hinted that this would be the last class to get this treatment.

I really don’t want more elf druids on alliance. It’s fine if they are going to let every race be all classes. But if it’s staying limited I’d really appreciate a dwarf or gnome option alliance side instead of an elf.

Horde side? Adding an elf option would probably bring the most diversity.

Draenei and Orc Druids are a hugely missed opportunity. They are the “alien” races of Azeroth. Imagine the kinds of animals native to Argus and Draenor they could include in their Druid forms.

Elekk travel form for Draenei for sure. As well as a dire/frost wolf travel form for Orcs would be epic.

I wouldn’t mind more elven (and non-elven) druid races. I would enjoy a dwarf druid as well since their forms would be easy to add based on creatures already in the game.

Forsaken Druids for the Horde and Draenei Druids for Alliance.

There’s already rotting creatures in Tirisfal Glades…

Im cool with blood elf and void elf druids if they gave me gnome druids. I want you to fear a tiny kitten comming out of stealth to stun you and bleed you. Plz.

I’m just not sure what bear form they would use. There are no native bears on Argus nor on Draenor. Maybe they could go with a variation on the Ice Bears from Dragonflight only with crystals instead of ice spikes.

Instead of ‘Bear form’…How about ‘Mountain Goat form’?

If you want the most played race to be even more played…

Gross and no. This is the worst thing that could happen to the game. Lore and story truly would be completely meaningless in service to superficiality. You want a “pretty” druid? Night Elf is waiting for you.

Well it’s already said it’s happening, all original classes will be unlocked for all races, it’s honestly now whenever Blizzard decides too.

I actually think an easy and fun way to open Druid up to more races, and more forms is changing the forms into Balance, Feral, Guardian and Restoration Forms (rather than Moonkin, Cat, Bear and Tree).

that would open up more forms to. especially if it got treated like hunter pets.

‘Lore’ is whatever storyline Blizz conjures up…If they wanted to they could create a storyline about how we Forsaken are ‘one with the earth’ since we literally arose from the ground/dead - therefore we are ‘one with the earth’

It should’ve happened already IMHO…This game is pretty stale.

Like I mentioned earlier in this post, honestly I thought it was coming a lot sooner then later, in Dragonflight a lot of the Fyrakk cutscenes involving the Druids of the Flame had actually a lot of Blood Elves in them.

I thought by the end of the expansion Shamans and Druids class restrictions were going to be next inline, sadly I was mistaken.

Guess we have to wait a little longer…

everyone and their grandmothers can learn how to be a warlock and summon demons. learning how to turn into a bear or grow some trees cant be that hard (they taught a bunch of stuffy engllish werewolfs and chubby english fishermen how to do it).

i really think the thing stopping them from opening druid up to more races isnt the lore implications, its the fact that they’ve committed themselves to every race that can play druid having its own unique set of default forms, which means devoting a non-zero amount of modeling and animation time on the art team to it. i dont oppose the idea, im just saying thats probably why they’ve been slow with it.

that said, of all the races to get druid, i think void/blood elfs are probably last on the list, they are both pretty well established in the setting to be very unnatural, drawing on arcane, fel and void energies to sustain themselves, those last two being pretty antithetical to the druids energies of life and nature. im not aware of any examples in the setting of void/blood elfs practicing nature magic, though i havent scoured every nook and cranny looking for it either.
