Void Storage?

What the point of it these days?

I put all my old legendaries and cosmetic stuff there.

I don’t throw all my gear away so…I has lots of stuff over the years

Whenever I try to put a legendary in there it says that I’m not allowed.

What!?! That’s stupid.

Maybe they’re in my main bank who knows. But my void storage is pretty full of the things. Tons of spaces just from cosmetics alone

okay but you should be able to use transmogs for cosmetic stuff. So why keep it around in void storage?

It’s a bad habit to throw some things away. Regardless. I still have my cycle armor in there too.

Obviously you don’t follow that principle lol

Oh to answer your question. I put most armor and stuff in void storage. My bank is full of mats and stuff, lots of quest items I haven’t finished, old world items/mats that sort of thing. After a while you should see your bank run out of space lol

There are some things that I do keep because they aren’t kept somewhere else in Collections. But for the most part, once gear no longer has any utility for game play, it gets sold for it’s gold.

Aside from old gear that I can transmog, which I sell, there’s nothing else that can be put into void storage.

Mounts, Pets, Toys, Heirlooms, and Appearances are all handled by the Collections UI.

Resources can go into the resources bank or guild bank (they cant go into void storage anyway).

And whatever else that doesn’t fit into those categories fits into the regular bank.

What is left that could possible be stored away in void storage, where removing it costs gold, that couldn’t just go into one of these other places?

Saithis already answered. Old legendaries. I am not wasting my bank space on 20+ old legendaries.

I forgot all about void storage! :o

Mine seems to have old gear that has been removed or gear that I wore during good times in the game. :\

I understand completely.

We play rpgs way differently I think lol. I hold onto physical things. I wish we had less of those tab-collection-select type systems and more storage areas.

That’s why I hope player housing becomes our next “bank” or “storage” feature. Cuz my armor (especially full completed sets) will be moved into that instead and I’ll stuff void storage with something else I refuse to throw away lol ( obv)

As for your legendary issue. I know when you put items into void storage it asks you if you’re sure you want to remove enchants or alterations w/e. You have to agree to deposit the item without enhancements or it will not accept the deposit. (At least I’m pretty sure it worked like that)

Maybe that’s why you can’t deposit legendaries.

No, it throws up red text that says “you are not allowed to put that item in void storage”.

Hmm that’s crazy, which item is it? Just all of them?! I want to go see if I actually have any in there but I’m stuck in my nest of pillows and literally can’t move so…hopefully someone else investigates this issue!

any of them. trust me, I’ve tried many times because they are the only items that make any sense for me to put into void storage.

What an awesome investigator hehe

Yeah I had to go check to make sure I wasn’t losing my mind, lol.

Void storage seems to have a weird criteria for Legendaries. All my Legiondaries can be and are stored in there but none of my Artifacts can. It also won’t store things like Thoridal’s Fury, Warglaives of Azzinoth, and a few others that I’ve accumulated through the years.
