Void stone

Finally started playing the game p seriously again. 2200 with a friend as W/M/X. Just recently hit 2.2 and encountered the whole “every team has (atleast one) void stone” thing. This game actually sucks lmao. Imagine outplaying someone hardcore, getting them down to 0 (character-spell) defensives, and then just losing because they won’t die because they can throw around monk cocoons with an ITEM. LOL. Extra points to blizzard for disabling them on TR because they know they’re cancerous. Blatant middle finger from them, I respect the bravado. Worst PVE item to ever enter the arena, hands down. I hate this game.

Does anybody know if a Priest casts Absorbs on a target with the Void Stone, which Absorb effect is damaged first?

Also, the same question, but with Necrotic Strike, and healing.

And I guess Maledict too, but that’s kind of pointless, and me just wondering for curiousity’s sake.

Actually, to add to that: Which is Absorbed first between Necrotic and Maledict?

Unfortunately this game isn’t about skill or gameplay anymore, its about what comp you play and if you have certain circumstances in your favour. I for one was just 2040, admittedly not incredibly high, but none the less during a crucial combust, which would have been a cookie cutter win, my wifi lags, for the full duration of the combust, tilted since then I’ve tanked 70 lol.
50% of the time you’ll lose to things like flavour of the month comps (people that spec chase because their skill doesn’t have their back) Lag, wifi if you’re in a situation like myself having to use wifi, or void stone when people can’t play correctly, they have a crutch to lean on. There’s probably a lot of duelists, gladiators that are suppressed by the reality of these situations. I’d say I’m duelist level but easily tilted by these things, probably something I can work on though!

I recently lose a game 100% due to void stone at around 2k as well and I had me tilted for a bit lol. But I mean, what can you do :confused:

absorbs get depleted in the order they’re applied.
So if I void stone first, and then shield, the void stone gets absorbed first. So there’s no way to get rid of the shield without going through the void stone umbral shell

I want Ion to come in here with his big dumb stupid face and try to explain the thought process of void stone. I thought about going to blizzcon for the first time to get to the q&a just to roast these dudes.

Sorry red shirt guy needs to know why there is a NPC out of place in the burning steps. Not sure if pvp is as big of a issue as this.

If there is maledicts and void stone on the target at the same time, maledicts is essentially wasted. All healing while both are active removes them at the same rate, aka every point of healing removes 1 point of maledicts absorb and 1 point of void absorb at the same time until both are gone.

The same applies for necrotic. Disc absorb I am unsure of TBH but I would assume the same rule applies.

Logic, incredibly unviable comp at 2050, cookie cutter comp - 50 more rating doesn’t seem unreasonable. gud1 though.

and i dont think literally anything with a fire mage is a bad comp

i also think i recall you saying you play with an hpal so what third do you play with that makes it a bad comp?

What other comp besides RMPal is decent for hpal? Asked this in 3 threads pointing out hpals and none have answers

HPal can heal TWD, TSG, RMx, etc. Even wizard cleaves like Lock/Mage, Lock/Ele, etc works just fine with HPal. These comps are more than viable (or decent) for a HPal.

Are you lol’ing at that toons best? Don’t they have the 2400 prideful tabard on…?

Are they glad viable or are you just naming random comps how many in comparison do rdruids and mw have that are better? Also all those comps work better with rdruid

Assuming that skilled players (Glad/R1 level) are playing those comps, yes, they are Glad viable for sure.

100% those comps are glad viable as Hpal. For the most part adding Rdruid is a moot point though, they can play with pretty much every comp right now.
