I mean, we know blizzard can alter the coloration of spells and abilities. Warlock green fire, Monk glyphs for color changes, even mage water elemental colors, and probably more I’m forgetting. The point is all they would have to do is apply a blanket permanent buff to void elves in their abilities tab that flags only them for their spells and abilities to be void/shadow/purple. They could add these kind of glyphs for a lot of classes to fulfill certain fantasy options. I still think blood elf paladin effects should be red tinted as we are blood knights.

Yeah, I don’t see why not, warlock fel flame was pretty cool and well recieved. a bunch use it. Druids get a lot of love in that context as well. They are able to have a BUNCH of different forms per race unique to them. This would just be making it void flavored instead of holy. I’m not sure why that seems so terrible to people just wanting a unique flavor of paladin, making them void knight.
i’ve been saying this for awhile in posts, that we should have our progression system instead of a bunch of mount recolors or mage tower weapon skin rewards, have more glyphs return for spells and abilities as well as stuff like this for racial flavor.

Warlock Green fire is accessed by a special Talent called Codex of Xoroth that you get after completing the questline. And I know that Night elves get a hidden racial with Rogues and Druids that increase their stealth speed. So a Paladin specific racial that turns all spells into void… Still doesn’t address a previous point that was brought up about spell schools though.

Nah. I was kind of being a jerk. I wasn’t having a good morning and I apologize.
I mean it’s just a skin, the damage would still be considered holy. We also don’t know if paladins are going to keep Shadow Resistance aura in Shadowlands. PVP talents haven’t been touched yet.
The skin for green fire doesn’t make all of the normal fire chaos. It’s still just fire for the game.
I suppose, and there is a bit of suspension of disbelief when it comes to Priests… Actually… this could work in several ways.
Paladin is a title. Anyone can fight like a paladin and have a different class title given to it. Even a void being. Not hard to grasp the concept of the void being used in that fighting style.

Exactly. Paladin is just a devout warrior of a religion. The current paladin religious following is the light. But that doesn’t mean other paladins couldn’t find faith and power from other entities.

Person B: I fight with the void under my control!
Person A: oh wow your fighting style is just like mine but purple!
Person B: wow you fight like me but you have gold wings instead of void wings!
Person A: I am a human paladin of the light!
Person B: I am a Void elf I wield the void!
Once again paladin is a title of the humans and dwarfs they use the light yes. BUT nothing says a void infused being can not have the exact same fighting style as a warrior of the light.
You clearly don’t know what paladins are if you think there can be “Void paladins.”
I wouldn’t see any difference in the Void Elves finding a void lord/entity and siphoning it’s power to use as void knights like the blood elves did to Mu’ru to become paladins in the first place.
They wouldnt be Typical paladins of the light they would be paladins of the void.

Paladin is a title, that means anyone can fight in that exact style if they have similar beliefs.
