yes
that’s precisely what im saying
and im definitely not saying to make it toggleable completely
because you should play a belf if you want to be a pure blood untainted elf with the thalassian model

I would kill for a Charcoal skin color, and more hair color choices. That Void Elf customization thread has a very good fanart of them. I would instantly make Maizou charcoal colored with cotton candy pink hair if I could.
But yea, I love the Void Form and I hate that we can’t toggle it at will.
Different colors along with a toggle would be great. An Arcane Purple variation would be cool for those who want more of a standard High Elf racial. As long as it had a more aesthetically pleasing look. My main gripe is that the racial itself is an ugly eyesore. It just looks like the player got dipped into some purple goop rather than harnessing some force.
I would certainly hope so, and i think they will if they end up getting more styles in the future. I’m very happy & grateful at the options we have now with their hair colors/tenacle toggle. That said however, some of the hair styles look VERY weird without the tentacles. They aren’t textured right and it looks like something is clearly missing. Male Void Elves suffer from this the most. As well as most of their hair styles forcing you to have a weird looking hairline. Female Velves have it a bit better but still could use some more options.
I’m still of the mind they should give them some Human & Night Elf hairstyles.
I think the best for this would be talking with an NPC so it works like Mage’s Arcane Momentum and you can swap it for a version of the effect that becomes permanent until cancelled after proc’ed.

I do think it should feel somewhat like Shadowform so I’d like that it continued to affect the whole armor (actually back decoration and shoulders this time)
ngl, we do need that for Void Elves, maybe all the elves can get a shared racial that boosts their primary stat by 1% but has an equally minor negative effect.
We can already remove the majority of void from void elves. What is the purpose of not going all the way? We know why these options were added, and mind you added before any void options were ever presented. You are right that void elves are not the race for me. The race for me is what they have started to create with the non void options as of lately. That is the race I want. I want it finished. EE needs to go.
What purpose is there in going all the way at all? Most folk don’t need half the things you’re pushing for. Many already are playing their high elves happily.
The two things I have pushed for are absolutely the things most have been pushing for, for ages. You can’t happily play a high elf without the hair to look like one… or constantly turning purple in combat. It doesn’t work. You turn purple, you’re not a damn high elf. Plain and simple. That needs to be addressed.
Trade you Void form toggle for some Worgen customization. You know the list. Optional tail.
8 foot lore correct size.
More fur/eye colors.
Optional use claws in melee…
In return you can have Two Forms for Void look.
I’m sure you’ll get your tail. Blizzard knows the demand. It’s really only a matter of time. Not an if but a when.
I hope so. More options are always better no matter who the race is.
It’s not even a doubt that it’ll happen. Though the size changes won’t happen. That isn’t so much an option but a complete model adjustment. You can already use your claws in melee by using fist weapons. Fur and eye colors are absolutely going to happen, and you already have gotten a few of those.
Problem is the size thing would fix the awkward look of Worgen shoulders and it would be lore correct. Some rage about Worgen wanting an optional tail so we started on the lore correct size as well in the list.
But I’ll save that discussion for the correct thread.
Both would be nice! A Void Form toggle for those who want a full High Elf look, or just dislike the eyesore that is Entropic Embrace & bonus Worgen customization.
It’s honestly ridiculous that worgen don’t have the ability to fight with their claws even to this day. I mean that’s a big part of the “Werewolf” type fantasy if you ask me.
A straight back/upward option for the males would be nice too. Similar to what the Orcs got. They would look so much more imposing if they could stand upright. With that haunch, they look a lot short than they really are.
That would mean it can be toggled off and I’m not giving the Helfers the satisfaction.
I mean, Fist Weapons do that. It uses the unarmed animation, which is them using their claws. Use a fist weapon that covers their claws and there you have it.
You are just a spiteful creature and for no reason. High Elves would never harm you, but would mean a lot to the people who want it. Honestly, spiteful takes such as this only help us further our cause. Your spite gave us the skin and the hair. Please… keep it coming…
thanks for saying this, especially as a council member. Makes me happy.
Blood Elves have always delivered the High Elf fantasy, period. Their name is literally to honor their fallen. The High Elf story, lore, kingdom, city, connection to the Sunwell the heart of the High Elf people. All of it belongs as it always has to the playable High Elf race.
VEs already infringe on that enough w the role play tools they already have, Velves deliver the fantasy they are intended to deliver period, just as Blood Elves do which as an actual High Elf fan I play knowing entropic embrace isn’t their racial. From the lore to their appearance Blood Elves deliver that fantasy and continued infringements on that is not cool it never was but especially at this point.
You deliver the Sin’dorei experience. With the horde, budding up with orcs and the like. But not the Queldorei experience. The elves who did not leave the alliance. Those who have stayed true to their old allies, and who now mingle and mate with humans, creating halfbreeds.
You come into Stormwind and you get pulverized in 2 seconds. So how are you anything like a Quel’dorei? Because Quel’dorei are allowed in Stormwind.
