I’m still bitter about it. Moira shouldn’t be standing in Ironforge with her arrogant attitude. She’s a traitor, and I would’ve had MUCH more respect for the story if something happened to humble her and send her people to begin again with the Horde.
The Horde is really no stranger to taking in people that seriously messed up in hopes to redeem themselves, though, specially when in their case, they did fight against those that tried to sell out.
It’s pretty similar to Night Elves being accepted into the Alliance if you’re not separating the rebellion from the rest, and the Alliance has a less favorable track record when it comes to accepting people with a bad past.
I do agree Nightborne need an overhaul, and I too would prefer unique customizations for Nightborne, but I’m also realistic.
There’s a pretty darn good chance that Blizzard is going to cheap out and, wherever possible, have allied races mostly inherit stuff from their parent races, maybe with some modifications, and do it as much as they think they can get away with.
I just don’t see Blizzard passing up the opportunity to reuse existing assets to save themselves time and resources where they can. It’s the same reason I have pushed for Void Elves to get Kul Tiran hair textures and Human hairstyles in the past, because at least it wouldn’t be copy/pastes from Blood Elves… again.
Your reply to him and mine is almost exactly the same, you will always be one of my favorites for being open minded and civilized even when having a disagreement.
Yeah I’m still a bit shocked but it’s whatever, I said what I wanted a couple minutes ago and I’ll leave it there.
You know, you’re right. It’s just that when someone attacks my statement by saying that it is “ironic” for wanting to “take and take” (??) from Blood Elves, even though nothing is actually being taken, it triggers a fight response.
I shouldn’t even be attacking players for being petty. I can be very petty myself. I mean, Blood Elves should have never even been Horde to begin with, but that’s way in the past.
The response to my initial post have been hostile and nonsensical, but I responded in kind, and that’s on me. I’m sorry.
It seems like they want to literally have belves on alliance at this point (not helves, belves) down to wanting pallies etc. But if a belf player dares to want something as well they’re like “you selfish such and such!!!” And remember how allied races weren’t supposed to be updated? Nightborne got literally nothing. They got more changes than their parent race and are begging for more. That isn’t selfish at all. /s
The helves were never a part of your alliance at any point. You’ll have to own garithos and Arthas and tons of other villains if you wanna claim they are. You can do that if you want but be prepared to have it used against you in lore debates outside of helf ones.
We do agree in this one. It’s not even about the path of least resistance at this point, is the downright lazier one.
And I still think that still doesn’t benfit either side. Just because the textures are not the same, it doesn’t mean that the result wouldn’t essentially be the same.
Textures are something that can only be told apart if you really look closely and sometimes, it’s even needed to unwrap them completely to see the difference, not something one can note at a first glance.
No one but you is responsible for your actions mate.
Here’s my thing. I find the tossing around of epithets like “selfish” unproductive. Everything we do in a game we play for fun…is intrinsically selfish.
We want what we want for the game. We like what we like in the game.
I don’t think it’s selfish to want updates for your toons. I wanted black hair for my nelf for instance. But don’t toss out that word when its a pot meet kettle situation. That’s my point you know?
I mean, that’s a clear and obvious sign you have no clue what you’re talking about. But whatever.
You seem to not realize that since Vanilla WoW, there have been numerous High Elves on the Alliance, including a whole faction of them in WotLK. And those events are post Arthas and Garithos, so your “point” is invalid.
Night Elves have black hair, now! See? /points up at Meriweather.
I was so excited. She has had white hair and purply-pink skin the entire time I’ve had her, but when they gave me the ability to go full-on rage machine dark Night Elf, I got SO happy.
I think black hair and crisp white hair for Void Elves would be great options, and I’d like to see some Draenei and KT styles adapted for Void Elves, SW Humans, and even the Belves, frankly.
And the Nightborne. Good gravy, they need EVERYTHING. Give it ALL to them. They need love more than ANY race in the game right now.
