The set is meant for Thalassian models (High/Void/Blood Elf), if you want a lore-accurate representation. I would rather dress your character in the current Kirin Tor scholar set you can purchase from the Trading Post as well, it fits the story and lore much better.
I knowā¦ still, looks pretty good. Also Iām out of tender and Iām debating on that set or the Battered Gladiator for the Freeze slot.
Except High Elves are already in the game, itās just that Horde have them and this upsets you.
burn foul heathen. void elves are an accident.
If Blizz wanted it to make sense they would have just added HEās to the Alliance since that is where they have been since WCII and still are to this day with the Silver Covenant. BEās are and always have been the outlier that twisted lore to suit their addition to the Horde.
VEās were just Blizz devās trolling Alliance players with their āFor the Hordeā attitude.
Anything wouldve been better than the rectum derived void elves.
Oh you love me, just as much as Draenei.
May be biased but Iād say you got the better end of the deal.
i have zero for a race of zika infused mongrel elves.
Youāll change your tune.
We now are going to have have High Elves, Half Elves (humanoids + short ears) of 3 body type bases on the Alliance as it should have had since Vanilla. I may be tempted to go Kultiran on my Druidā¦ But I truly think Dracthyr should have been added into that mix. A big missed opportunity.
Another option is to just give Night Elf the cinematic ears (do it! )
And more body types and customization for every race. Open up class combos.
The more variety the better. Make WoW a true MMO again!
never. alleria forever. not that draenei lie one either.
That would be a nice change, but I disagree. Horde always get the benefit, especially when it comes to races crossing faction lines.
If I wanted to nit pick I could say Forsaken were actually the first race to cross the faction lines. Technically they are one of the original Human kingdoms, now given to the Horde. They are different enough from humans to be their own separate thing. Technically though they are Humans, just undead ones, on the Horde side.
Then Blizz gave HEās to the Horde and renamed them BE. Then Horde got NEās. Now they have dwarves. Goblins are just Horde themed Gnomes. They even got an anime version of Gnomes with the little fox guys.
So pretty much every one of the original Alliance races is represented in one form or another Horde side. Yet not a single Horde race is available on the Alliance side. Highmountain should have gone Alliance given their old ties to NEās but Blizz wasnāt going to allow that to happen. Races crossing faction lines only goes one direction.
He sits on a golden throne an a thousand mages must be sacrificed to him every day!
Oh wait wrong franchiseā¦
They are former High Elves but not the classic Alliance-alligned High Elves. As long you have no access to the Silver Covenant vanity items (which are Alliance-only), youāre a Blood Elf.
I personally donāt mind if they donāt ever give us āofficialā high elves as long as that doesnāt hinder customization options. It stinks being unable to play a high elf Paladin, for instance, because technically the race is āvoid elfā so there isnāt a Paladin option. Iād also like for customization options for void elves/blood elves to be entirely sharedāeye colors, hair styles, jewelry, etc. Given that the difference between high elves and blood elves is purely political at this point, thereās really no reason to gatekeep customization between the two.
So if weāre not going to get a separate high elf race, then void elves should at least receive all the logical customization/class/etc options that a high elf or blood elf should reasonably have. And vice versa, for the sake of fairness imo. Keeping them different is kind of like locking certain Pandaren customization options depending on which faction they chose. Itās just a bit odd.
blame the high elf fans who kept complaining.
Theyāre high elves. no amount of cope / clothes changes that fact.
Looks like the Helf Echo chamber is leaking again. Just donāt respond to them, theyve already proven they lack common sense anyways.
And you know what the silver covenant lore says? It says there isnāt enough of them to justify being an allied race. Checkmated yourself
Actually, no. We have an official storyline which involves the āwe are no more High Elvesā-speech from Kaelāthas, if I remember it correctly.
You are actually playing another group of High Elves, which is the majority: Blood Elves. Your childish fanboyism has no place here.
You play former High Elves. If you want the classic experience, then you have currently to play Alliance and Void Elves, with their subrace.
