Void Elves were the Perfect Excuse for Alliance High Elves

Just the first generation of them. Like DKs, they are different for each generation.

First one: The ones with tentacles and purple skin.
Second one: Regular fair skins
Third one: High Elf-like, no tentacles

Obviously you can mix and match the barber shop options as you like it, but even the newest cosmetic options (which are NPC-exclusive atm) it is really apparent that you can have green eyes in the future. I’m unsure of the golden eyes though.

It’s pretty easy to understand. I already knew all that. Tldr they’ve spent 2 decades asking for a race they already have. Thank you tho

Renaming themselves Blood Elves wasn’t a political move; it was to serve as living memorials to their fallen kin. The ones who insist on still calling themselves High Elves are (almost literally) defecating on graves.

The race that was once high elves became blood elves and that is what got added to the game. The group still calling themselves High Elves are Blood Elves. Most of them also lived in a city that just exploded. The base race is Blood Elf.

Alliance had night elves and Horde got blood elves. That should have been the end of elven races.

We are! :white_heart:

High Elf customisation for Void Elves is not a substitute for actual High Elves.

The racials do not fit at all, neither does their name, unlock quest, home base or anything else about them.

They have so much Silver Covenant lore and content, just make them a Allied Race already. Or make Elf a race and let us pick between High and Void Elf with appropriate race tag, racials, and starting location to match.

Y’all really gotta give it up at this point you already WON!

They have them!

Void Elves are a perfect excuse for Void Elves.

They are a beautiful race with unique appearances and a lovely option for Alliance players who want a true Elven race.

Dont care. Deal with it.

Another elven race copy and pasting blood elves would be an insult to the general playerbase.

Real talk, I’m honestly thinking of making the Alliance Mage Void Elf with the High Elf Aesthetic and using the void racials as his interest in the void as I’ve seen PLENTY of mages in the game dabble in the void and shadow.

Also debating on making him a blueberry. And then… Actually this is already starting to deviate into one of my tangents.

delete void elves. come at me void elf fans. void elves are a stain on warcraft.

Don’t be like that. Come to the tentacle side~

They just got blown up. High Elves are Blood Elves.

This has no correlation to my posting, yet nobody associated with it at the same time.

This is correct but also not. The majority of High Elves are Blood Elves, but the High Elves from the Alliance-regions never associated with the new term. This is why you have either neutral or Alliance Quel’dorei NPCs in the game.

This is actually true. The game needs, however, a race tag option for all the player races. This is not a elf-specific issue.

This is absolutely fine. I would rather go with a Shadow Priest, because it fits the lore at the moment better and plays better into the void-fantasy than any other player race.

This is an incorrect statement. What you actually want to say is:

  • The Horde associated High Elves are Blood Elves

Yea I know and I do have a Void Elf Shadow Priest. She’s a blue berry and… cough
Anyway my idea was the Mage was a High Elf Mage from the Silver Covenant who held an interest in the Void and it’s secrets and the arrival of the Void Elves gave him a chance to study it without fear of ostracization. Even adopting the Void Elf name as he felt more in common with the Blue berry elves then his own kin.

Also Umbric is a Frost mage with Shadow abilities.

The base race and culture are Blood Elves and the model for them in-game was designed specifically for Blood Elves. High Elves are Blood Elves. They are also just dirtbags in general for absolute rejection of a memorial to their fallen kin.

You’re perfectly fine to this. Get the Quel’dorei mage shoulders from this month’s trading post, one of the 7th legion cloth dresses and you have a perfect representation of a High Elf Mage. This works best with Frost Mages.

This tunnel vision-argument has no value and it’s also not necessary to engage with it.

Already done. Just… kind of debating is all.
