NEs didn’t get stuck with purple/green/blue hair colors, they got black and orange too, Gnomes didn’t only get wacky zany colors, they also received blonde/brown/redhead orange, stuff like that is what I mean. Undead received blonde and brown hair which some found odd (like actual Forsaken players found getting brown hair odd o_O).
That’s what I mean. Also if ‘the race themes’ are maintained with the addition of those colors then it continues to reinforce what I said earlier - those specific hair colors are fluid across races.
Yeah we all saw you ignore Softsongs points earlier so let me quote them for you
See how you replied
And then never got back to replying
Maybe it benefits you to be able to ignore the argument as to why you’re wrong so you can just repeat yourself but I like that I can quote the argument for you
I’m not ignoring anything. Some of you are claiming we’re asking for EVERYTHING, which is factually incorrect. Eye colors and classes for example have been made very clear to be something we don’t want.
We haven’t been giving everything we want though, specifically hair options remain and then it’s over.
There are still things in place that would keep distinction, as well as adding MORE OPTIONS TO BLOOD ELVES.
Given Illidan always had black hair and so did characters from WCIII the black isn’t too odd or out of their color range though.
Orange meanwhile was clearly meant to represent autumnal leaves. Nature themed.
Gnomes have always had several less crazy hair colors. My gnome had a version of black for a long while back in Cata for instance. So I’m not sure thats too out there for them. Especially since Mechagnomes also have a relatively standard array of colors. (though they all have a metallic sort of feel to them for obvious reasons. lol)
Also I did a search on what they got with Shadowlands and according to WoWhead they mostly got bright colors not regular ones.
I don’t think I’ve run into any Forsaken player who found those colors odd… I have encountered a great deal of them who wondered why we never had them to begin with since they were humans…
I kinda see where you’re coming from… but I don’t really agree myself that any of those break the themes.
To me that seems like merely expanding those themes already in place.
Is that not the same argument Void Elves make when asking why they don’t have Blood Elf hair styles. Yet it’s completely attacked when the argument is made.
I find many have different takes on the hairstyles themselves.
For many its the color that matters more.
Void Elves for instance (at least before the skin tones) had no natural colorations attributed to them.
How one styles their hair is often less a point of contention as its not really a lore based issue.
For the Forsaken, they were just humans. A wider arrangement of human hair colors for them that are less washed out and less dead feels like less of an impediment.
Certainly less of a difference to their theme or lore as Void Elves get in the same situation.
If those specific hair colors don’t break the themes of the race then that’s what I’m saying, those hair colors are fluid and not thematic of any given race.
Draenei for instance already had brown/blonde/white options and their hair colors added were dark purple/green. They didn’t continue to receive the same tone of colors that already exist for them.
Which is my point. The hair colors every race received were ones they did not have - they were not simply the existing hair color spectrum. Like Blood Elves received a chocolate brown, caramel hair color alongside the unlocked DK hair colors. They didn’t continually receive different shades of Blonde or Red.
Hair colors added to each race were explicitly to give them a variety that wasn’t already in place. Expecting Void Elves to continue to gain purple/green/blue shades of hair color wouldn’t make sense since they already have those options available.
Hair color isn’t a lore based issue either though…
I’ve showed you before how hair dye does effectively exist in the lore
I have told you before how magical infusion doesn’t always caused your body to change even a bit.
Claiming this debate is about lore is just wrong, and I’d have a lot better time remaining civil if those that didn’t want the options to happen just admitted that it’s exclusively about visual distinction even though I disagree with it.
Can you show me in lore that it wouldn’t?
Besides, like mentioned earlier 6 male and 4 female hair styles aren’t void in any way.
And as mentioned, infusion doesn’t automatically mean it changes anything.
So there wouldn’t even be a need to dye it in the first place.
And I’m not the one asserting that since there’s a vague possibility that outside of a gameplay option (barbershop) that hair dye must exist and is a reason you should get what you want.
Tyrande is stated to use hair dye, so it’s not just the barbershop.
Regardless, you’re ignoring the fact that hair dye isn’t necessary in the first place.
Still doesn’t mean it has to work on void elf hair, plenty of reasons even relatively normal for them hair might not agree with dying for me to just take your self centered word.
Like you’re ignoring the face that void elves don’t need new hair colors at all?
What’s funny is hair dye isn’t an option for any race yet he cites it repeatedly like as if Void Elves should be special and have the option to hair color hair like real life when no one else can.
