See how that’s more HE customization you just aren’t included at the table because the playable HE race would get more HE options later? You’re assuming you have a seat at a table for a visual theme that is BEs, it’s the reason I don’t support the OP just like BEs don’t have a seat at the table for Void options.

I’m confused how you are led to believe he is only talking about BEs when he mentions more HE customizations in the future, when he is literally talking about both BEs and VEs in his entire response? 
“VEs more void unique assets” =/= “more HE customization” considering we already know what they, Blizzard, define as “HE customization”.

You’re assuming you have a seat at the table for more HE customizations and that isn’t necessarily true. Their statement for more can be true without it including more HE options for VEs.
You just want it to include VEs and fail to see it doesn’t have to.
What if they do give more High elf customizations to void elves? What will you do?

When they’re answering a question on both VE and BE, and give an answer grouping up both VE and BE, I do not see how you draw this conclusion to mean ‘oh but VE won’t get any extra HE customization’.
His answer was literally about both groups being given HE customizations and both groups potentially gaining more. His answer also includes how they do not see BEs as HEs, only ‘they were the closest’.
Like Brae mentioned, there are other avenues where this topic of more HE customization are being discussed, such as on MMO-C. Over there I recall a very prominent poster who was super adamant that VEs wouldn’t even get the skin tones they received, nor the blue eyes.
So much so that they used to have their signature be a quote from when Ion said the whole if you wanna play a blue eyed, tall, pale elf or w/e go Horde.
Once the blog post came out on the HE customizations for both VE and BE. That very adamant poster removed that signature and suddenly stopped posting at all on the topic. , a respectable move in all honesty.
More for VEs being more unique void options only, and more for BEs being more HE options means their statement still holds true they deliver more customization for later some of which HE options.
Visual distinction factors they left in place would mean they would have to disregard BE fans and visual distinction advocates again and like your friend tried to say

It would also mean you expect them to defeat the purpose of their own AR, which if you think that’s going to happen what ever helps you sleep at night I guess.
More HE options doesn’t have to include HE options for VEs it can be for BEs and VEs getting void options moving forward, that seems to be something you didn’t account for because of bias and that’s okay I’m more than happy to shed some light on how that would happen and I’m sorry to see that it bothers you
