Void elves and blood elves need more visual distinction

I wish both could get the fel green eyes on my Void Elf. I really like the idea of having both void and fel corruption going as a warlock. Not like the current Blood Elf society would be any more welcoming to Warlocks post-TBC anyway. :stuck_out_tongue:

from before the api went down, so during bfa

It actually does. It shows that the very faction that you guys claim champion to want these looks, actually do not.

Honestly in my opinion these “sub race” customizations is a unwelcome addition. Players that vouched for wildhammers don’t like bronzebeard dwarves looking like them either.

The forum group that posts here, which you may be apart of, is a odd phenomenon that is not reflected honorably in game.

Which is funny cause those playing void elves to play void elves themselves also do not like those customizations. We actually view it as our passes being robbed by a community that cannot ask for their own race.

Also this, void elves had been popular long before the natural skin changes.

They are the most popular allied race. At 120, they are~3.5% of the population.

Blockquote
They are only outplayed on Alliance at 120 by Humans, Nelves, and Draenai

i can’t post links search in the forums and you will find it

wowanalityca says void elves are right now 10.25% of the alliance population, sad i couldn’t use time machine page on it.

i do play voidy customization in my shadow priest and i like the high elves customization, that nullify your opinion as a whole, as felenon said

the bulk of the people playing void elves doesn’t care about forum threads, if they look good they will take it

Feblood elves.

Does it show a source on how it gets it’s data.

I never heard of this site, doesn’t sound legit.

Random yahoo’s are not valid data.

They would have gotten it from a source, do they include one?

Forum posts can be linked to without tl3.

Right now yes. But to my own memory back in bfa we were already at ~10%.

I’ll take a look when I get back at the older data.

You playing something don’t nullify anything.

That is not even an arguement.

You’d be surprised.

They used to use the same api as everyone else before. Not sure if they’re using something else now.

That’s not an example, Felblood can just as easily be given to both sides.

that was a forum threat, i’m looking for any other way to prove it. i hope i will find it.

how? blizz keep giving and taking from me tl3

yes it does, as your comments seems to state that ALL people playing voidy elves hate high elves customization, it only take one person who likes both to null that statement

I know they had third by then. I was in a lot of arguments on Mechagnomes back then… Population statistics came up a lot…

Hmm no one really says where they were getting that data. I’ll check where they were when I get back.

The old sites should still have their data sitting there so it shouldn’t be hard. I know for a fact that they were third in the Alliance pop but while I remember them being ~10% I could be misremembering. Its worth seeing what changes in population currently stand at anyways…

Though with Blizzard not providing any clear way to get that data I’m always sus as to the validity of such websites. Its often based on having a mod installed and not always the most accurate. (Literally only a step up from what I’ve been doing to count folk in SW portal room. lol) Still you can get enough of a trend to get some ideas.

I would love for Blizzard to stop sharing customizations between the two and start creating options that are unique to each race. In particular, options that would make sense for each race’s culture and identity. They may be the same base race, but their allegiances and other circumstances would start creating differences in how they dress and present themselves.

For example, it wouldn’t make much sense for a void elf to be sporting a bunch of jewelry that blood elves in Silvermoon would be wearing. Why? Because they’re no longer allied with Silvermoon and a part of that culture. They could maybe have one or two pieces that are mementos from their past life there, sure. But at a certain point, you’re going to have void elf artisans that will be creating pieces inspired by their experiences with the void or their new life w/ the Alliance vs. making things that just simply mimic the designs of a home that is no longer theirs.

When you look at design that way, it opens up so many possibilities for what customization options could be for both races vs. saying “because x gets this, y should also have it.”

Also, it is boring.

I have my blood elves for phoenixes and the colors red and gold and fancy robes and elaborate updos.

I want my void elves to be different. Spoopy is an obvious favorite, and my personal preferences edge into “just a little uncanny.” That flicker of movement where one shouldn’t be that might be imagination… or an elbow tendril. The discoloration of skin that may smack of corruption. Odd dye jobs to the hair.

I mean copy and paste stuff isn’t that bad as long as it fits well with the races. For example Humans and Kul’tirans. I mean heck the Hairstyles from the Kul’tirans would work well with Regular Humans due to having regular Humans in Kul’tiras instead of the Giant Kul’tiran looking ones.
