Void Elf Paladin - This NPC Needs Fixing

Nope. Their gossip dialog literally say there are newer void elves.

They use void elf emotes.

Pal I am just stating the truth :woman_shrugging:t3: You being in denial is not really my problem.

Nah I’m fine, I like my night elves and void elves.

No, you’re exaggerating again. Their gossip dialogue suggests they went with the Void Elves because they do not agree with the direction Quel’Thalas is going. When we see them fight, we cannot gather how much they are “voidy” yet because of the classes they are. The Voidlight priest uses voidlight/void spells like the Riftstalkers etc.

NPCs and anything else beyond this point is Speculation. I.E. Ennas’ eyes resemble the Chi mist green more and is not a selectable color. We can even speculate Void Elves will get a green tint.

No you are not, you are minimizing and maximizing what you want.

Then stop minimizing how they are Void Elves and not some “cosmetic” by going void.

It’s literally in game right now. A void elf NPC confirms they are recruiting new void elves.

Many new ren’dorei are concerned about losing themselves when they first embrace the void.

In game NPCs are canon, as stated by the very same devs that worked on them.

It’s just one of the normal Blood elf eye colors. You can look it up on Wowhead.

Aaaaaand to the ignore list that you go. Not interested in talking to people incapable of having a sincere debate.

Feel free to bad-mouth me!

PS: Oh, see you in neutral Silvermoon with my void elf Paladin!!! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Yes and there’s a DK and Warrior Void Elf who’s blue. You’re assuming both of them are not a new Void Elves.

With how you’re reacting, it’s clear you’re trolling and know you are making assumptions.

BTW, I have looked up the eyes. I cannot replicate it. Go in with a male Blood/High Elf with the dark green eyes, Ennas does not have the same circular iris feature in his eyes, for those curious. The color is close enough but off slightly.

Projecting… it’s sad.

This lore was killed the moment Lightforged Draenei Warlocks were a thing, for the exact same reasons, but instead people would rather focus on the freedom of Lightforged Draenei to turn against their previously held beliefs (despite that never being the main argument against it) to consort with fel, fire, and shadow (void).

Blame Blizzard for deciding to try and classify a ‘state of being’ as a race.

I do, every day. But alliance needed races because horde was getting races so here we are.

The new paladin VE is transformed. Thus debunking your claim.

It’s not a state of being and actually follows the lore of the Elves, starting with being transformed from being Trolls into a new race.

LFD, VE, Mag’har, KT, these are all just different states of being versus an actually different ancestry. Going from trolls to elves took a massive amount of time and was a fundamental change in biology. A Void Elf is no less a Blood Elf (which itself is just a High Elf with a political disagreement) than a real-life human who got dosed with a massive amount of radiation is any less a human that didn’t.

What should happen is a collapse of races into ‘parents’, with racial pools allowing a selection of racials tuned to that ancestry versus flat-out trying to say that KTs, for example, are somehow not human.

Blood/High Elves do not bleed purple, do not hear whispers, may not have void tendrils growing out of them, etc. They are a different race, as much as Night Elves and Nightborne are transformed.

Unless you are going to argue they are all the same race?

LFD are Draenei. KT and Forsaken are Humans, and Mag’har are Orcs. They are not necessarily different states and only because of the system are they designated as “races” but they are not different races. None of them are transformed from their original race.

Why do so many people need their hands held to understand the above?

Again, the VE are infected by some manner of energy, not a fully independent and true-breeding race (as far as we know, VE have a ‘racial’ history of approximately a decade). They are still Elves, a parent race which includes Blood Elf and High Elf alongside them. In fact, I could argue that Night Elves and Nightborne might well fit under that umbrella, though Elune might have used divine whatnots to forcibly separate them from the Thalassian Elves. That said, yes, I very much believe Nightborne and Night Elves would also be ‘sibling’ subraces in whatever sorting would result, whether linked to the other Elves or not.

I would also argue that Worgen, despite my love of wolf-folk, should not be a separate race but instead a class, since they are also not true-breeding and are still primarily Human, a fact reinforced by Tess taking rulership of Gilneas and efforts by the Gilnean government to contain the Worgen Curse as much as possible.

Politics does not make a new race. Infection does not make a new race. Corruption does not make a new race. Bestowing of divine power does not make a new race. There should be fundamental differences in the base biology of the ancestry for something to be classified as a new race.

They are all Dorei (the children/the people) or Elves. We are in “lore”/world time of the emergence of a new race with the advent of Void Elves. How long before the Shal’Dorei didn’t consider themselves Kal’Dorei any longer? We don’t know. How long before the Kal’Dorei didn’t consider themselves Trolls?

See how this is far more compelling storytelling than just saying they are the same race?

Oh yes, sorry I forgot them. They are humans too.

It’s literally in the description of Void Elves, they are transformed. They are not infected or cursed. I think the Void Elf warrior (by the smith) touches on this. Others might see them as corrupted (i.e. Blood/High Elves and most of Azeroth).

Honestly until we see a void elf have a child with another void elf (or blizzard says one way or another) we cant actually say with any certainty the extent the void affected them as a race.

Agreed, that’s why I don’t speculate too much. Especially in a world of magic.

Wasn’t there a toy that transforms you into a kid of your race? The VE one is just a void entity via it.

Then you don’t know the lore. Argument over. I’ll give you a hint- go play legion.

Benediction. Please learn to accept when you are wrong. If you don’t know what benediction is, look it up.

You legitimately don’t know what Benediction is then. Cool. So how is your ignorance my problem again.

Toys are deepest lore now.

There’s also a toy that reveals if you’re a witch in disguise. If I use it on a void elf and they turn into a hag- are they secretly a BFA witch in disguise?

Dumbest argument I’ve ever seen.

BenedicTUS.

Learn to read. My first and last advice to you.

pearls before swine

Are you stupid? This is gibberish. Go fight schizophrenia ghosts elsewhere.

No. Benediction. The staff. You absolute fool.

This is the last time I will help you, you’re clearly more interested in being willfully ignorant.
