Void Elf Paladin - This NPC Needs Fixing

Okay so it should be easy for you to find it…

Typically when people reference a point they made, they’re the ones who cite it not the other way around. Didn’t they teach you that in inmate school?

I don’t care about any of that, I just care about classes getting more customization options.

One day I’ll be able to play a Priest of Elune proper, I’ll not give out hope.

Same tbh. They removed glyphs and didn’t replace them with anything. And continually remove what few cosmetical glyphs we have left.

Oof

Back on topic…

The disc spec is the ultimate example as to how a velf paladin makes sense.

Christ, we have LFD locks and this is a stretch???

Come on, OP…

walks into thread

“Hey whats going… oh… um.”

quietly walks back out of thread.

That’s a shame, I think the glyph system is completely under utilized.

Absolutely. It’s such an easy way to implement cosmetics and they just flat out ignore it lol.

Nope you get back in here!

Curious about how the whole light vs shadow explosion thing came up. Was it only Alleria doing it? Because aside from new stuff, Void didn’t go nuclear when exposed to light, it went nuclear when exposed to Fel, considering the chaotic nature of Fel is more opposed to the entropy of the void in terms of magic chemistry despite some would say Arcane and Fel are on opposites they didn’t react in the same way.

The class/race combo lore became a joke when forsaken could use the light without being burned ages ago. A void elf paladin is fine by that standard.

I think Blizzards logic was that the Trading Post kind of took away the need for that sort of thing. But, I think they should put profession specific patterns and plans on the Trading Post.

Glyphs could be thrown in there, patterns, plans, blueprints or what ever. It’d add a layer of complexity between the players and the Trading Post. And, it’d also allow people to use the Trading Post to interact with other players, which as far as I know hasn’t been done yet.

Yeah they did walk back the burning bit and then said it’d be painful.

My memory may be wrong, but I remember you used to be able to damage forsaken with (holy) healing spells in PvP.

It added cool tmog and stuff, but we really need spell effects and stuff. Which we are severely lacking cosmetics in that department.

That’s a good idea. honestly.

Must be new.

NPCs have always been the exception. Go check out Lights Hope

Priests exist. There is an ENTIRE spec around using both void and light. They had an ENTIRE artifact questline about how managing the powers of void and light together allows for it’s use.

There are NARUU, Who go through cycles of LIGHT AND VOID.

Void and Light have never had this rule, the void and the light are not a binary, it’s over exposure of one that leads to the inability to withstand the other. Alleria for example. Even then- the Light doesn’t even follow “rules” you imply they’re breaking. A long time ago “Undead can’t use the light” was the standard- for less than one expansion, because a death knight was using the light back in VANILLA.

The light works off faith. If you don’t think it should work, it stops working. If you don’t believe in what you’re doing is good, you can’t use it. If you DO think it should always work, even if you’re undead, part void, or whatever- it does, this goes back to VANILLA. If you think it should hurt you because of your guilt over being infused with void, it does. That’s why Alleria is hurt by it.

And “False elves players” go back to classic you absolute LOSER. Oh wait, you’d have to stop playing your fake high elves, guess you can’t.

You mean back in Vanilla when Naxx came out and proved, once gain, as stated since at least warcraft III, that the light has no rules and works on quite literally, “Clap your hands if you believe” logic ala 40k orcs?

If you think it works this way, the Light will do whatever the hell you want it to. You’re undead and think you’re built different? Congrats you can cast healing spells. You’re a literal death knight forced to kill in the name of the scourge but truly believe your faith in the light was so ironclad you’ll never be forsaken by it? Cool you can be the only death knight paladin multiclass in the lore. You are so insanely devoted to the point of zelotry towards the light? You can work with literal demons and still wield the light (Scarlet Crusade) or even BE a demon and even become lightforged as a creature of literal death and shadow from the shadowlands (don’t ask why you never bring up the jailer to your new lightforged friends).

Meanwhile: You don’t think you can use the light anymore? You lose it. You think the void and the Light are opposed? You can’t use both. You think you’re a monster now that you’re infused with void in the eyes of the light (because of indoctrination by a Naru and notoriously unreliable narrator)? You are hurt by being near the light.

Yeah they can.

No it doesn’t.

That makes no sense and contradicts the lore in several places.

Yes, it does. It’s the entire reason the void elves were banished from Silvermoon.

Priests and paladins are very different classes.
