i wan void elf paladinos thamks
I mean there are already High Elf Paladins on Silver Covenant and they are Alliance Friendly so yea I agree.
Since disc priest can go almost full shadow, and get light/fire/shadow all at the same time…its pretty much on the table that blizzard is going to add void elf paladins
I still think it is weird for light and shadow to mix this way, but I am increasingly liking the idea tbch.
In the past light was not compatible with undead and see how that has been retconned entirely.
While that’s not how I’d like to see it go down that would be an interesting change to lore (involving paladins anyways since priests already do this.)
Personally still want void paladins/knights if we get paladin but we’ve already seen these erosions of the world of Warcraft dogmas over the years.
The people of Azeroth have a viewpoint that these things can’t be done or that the void is only dangerous… But void elves proves that to be otherwise.
Not to mention those new lore books in Uldaman that suggest the Titans were flat out hiding things from us like the “advancements of the Black Empire”.
So Holinka just liked this:
Do you think it’s a hint that they’re planning on giving paladins to void elves?
I would LOVE Void Elf Pally. Void elf Priests are a thing… Void Elf Pallies should be too.
On its own no, but they already said they were intending to move towards all races all classes so…
Still hoping theres some void component but I’ll admit my belief they will do that is faltering of late.
They also said a while before that it was on the table (I forget the interview) and they only time they did something like that was normal skin tones for Void Elves so the gears are turning so to speak.
Best case, Glyphs for Void-Powered Paladins. With NPCs of that type.
Middle case, lore saying they are like a Disc Priest.
Worst case, lorewise it’s High Elf Paladins and Void Elf Paladins aren’t strictly cannon.
Best case I’d say is that they make a whole new system (not just for void based paladin skins but for a whole bunch of skins) rather than a glyph system. But you’re probably right across the board there. lol
If only…
Also Racial Name Tag options.
Ion and Holinka know that the void elf players want this class.
I think it will definitely happen as a classic paladin (high elf) but they might surprise us with a Void variant.
i mean, Draenei can finally be rogues, despite a lot of ppl saying hooves can’t have you be stealthy
Void Elf and Nightborne Demon Hunters.
Except DH and EV
I say give every class to every race.
Giving Rogues to those races was never against the lore
Stealth is done with magic, they could be screaming and smacking pots together and it wouldn’t matter.
The magic dampens the sound regardless.
Of course, there are some issues regarding the magic that those races use.
Technically, Rogues use Shadow magic to active stealth. However, not all races are comfortable with Shadow magic. Therefore, I speculate that not all Rogues use Shadow magic to stealth.
For example:
- Most Draenei Rogues may likely be using Light or Arcane magic to stealth.
- Tauren and Night Elves may use Nature magic to stealth.
etc.
Red Shirt Guy’s latest interview does point out to the notion story justification is seen as a priority.
It’s good they’re considering the lore of each race seriously.
That’s one of my bigger concerns with all that.
Plus I think it’ll just be really awesome to see different takes on some classes.
Hope for nothing, expect disappointment.
Sadly, knowing Blizzard, they’d use the High Elf customization as an excuse to take the easy out and just say any Void Elf Paladins are just High Elves that fight under the banner of the Ren’dorei and Alleria rather than make new lore for actual void wielding Paladins (with recolored spells).
Hopefully they will actually make the effort to do more than that and give a plausible story explanation for void wielders that emulate Paladins, complete with void colored versions of Paladin abilities.
