Void Elf Paladin make a lot of sense

Discipline Priest uses both.

Even if he could prove Paladins are infused with light it would oppose his other arguments presented here. I.e Void elves can’t use light magic because “Physiological changes.” Despite the ever present existence of Light Forged Death knights, Priests, and lore wise the existence and physical contact between Turalyon and Alleria. Which suggests being Physiologically changed doesn’t impact or inhibit the use of other schools of magic.

Its more of an absolutist view point that isn’t really backed by anything other than his own speculation on the matter.

Light = Light
Life = Light + Arcane
Arcane = Life + Void
Void = Void
Death = Void + Fel
Fel = Death + Light

Another interesting thing this brings to mind is how the Naaru, entities of Light can, under the right circumstances, become entities of Void, and even go back to being entities of Light, circumstances permitting.

It’s actually called netherlight. And it exists. And idk if there still is but there has been spells that deal light and shadow damage at once.

Nothing prevents paladins from chanelling it externally. No god, or diety, or super powerful entity, or cosmic force is forcing someone to infusing themselves witht he element just because they wear heavy armor.

Just cuz a handful of humans did it doesn’t mean everyone has to do it.

We might be pounding sand at this point, but I applaud you for your efforts.

Gain, Night Elves, Kul Tirans, and Worgen are right there.

But how can we say it is not the case with the Void Elves when:

  1. Very little lore written into them after the main scenario
  2. The lore only tells us that Umbric and his followers were the only ones transformed.

I mean, we can’t actually really go ahead and say “Blood Elves are more closer to being High Elves than Void Elves” when the lore around the Void Elves is so little and in almost no proper detail.

Exactly!

Adding Paladin like that will just remove more of what the race IS, a Void Elf.

We have Umbric and Alleria saying they’re not anymore, and they have blue skin, blue blood and tentacles.

It’s the concept of claiming they are 1:1 high elves we have no proof of.

High elves and blood elves are indistinguishable from one another.

This isn’t the case for void elves.

Now as I’ve also pointed out that doesn’t erase where they came from though. They share that lineage and culture and history from other Thalassians and they are undoubtably Thalassian.

They’re just very obviously not high elves anymore. (or blood elves since again those are 1:1 with each other.)

Wont every race be every class eventually? I wait with bated breath for Blood Elf Shaman and Druids!

Oh cat fight.

I do wonder unconstrainted who’d win in a fight? Void or Fel?

I know that the Void has changed the Blood Elves that are now known as Void Elves, but different types of magic effects the High Elves all differently. We see this with the Blood Elves when they used Demonic Energies to power there city as well as hanging around the Fel in the Outlands. Because the Fel radiation changed the Sin’dorei. And with Umbric and his followers, we know it was actually the process of transformation through Etherals, but the transformation was interupted when Alleria “came to save the day” (Sorry, got no other better way to put it.)

Now, unless there is official lore to state that all the Void Elves are a different race, I think it is still say to say that Void Elves are still High Elves, regardless.

Yes, the Blood Elves will be closer to being more of High Elves than Void Elves, but still both are equally as much of a High Elf from one and another.

Void Elves = High Elves = Blood Elves
They have their differences, but they’re all the same in a general sense
None of them are 1:! with one another, not even High Elves and Blood Elves

They all have minor political and biological differences.
They’re still the same race/species though and that simply can’t be denied.

Some Blood Elves have biologically surpassed a traditional High Elf. They don’t have as fair skin anymore as they’ve become more peach, their eyes have changed, etc. All have changed politically as they have created their own separate culture away from the original High Elves.

High Elves have remained the same.

Void Elves are on a similar boat as the Blood Elves. But they also have a combination of Blood Elf and High Elf as those groups are the makeup of the Void Elf society. Some Void Elves have different skin, some different eyes, some tentacles. But some have fair skin like the High Elves, peach skin like the Blood Elves, blue eyes like the High Elves, no tentacles like both the High Elves and Blood Elves.

And need I remind you:

Ion: “High Elves? Honestly, spoilers guys, Blood Elves are pretty much High Elves. Void Elves are also pretty much another flavor of High Elves.”

Ion’s use of the words “also” and “another” directly imply that he was using the word “flavor” to describe both Blood Elves and Void Elves as both High Elves. If you agree that Blood Elves are High Elves, through this source you must also believe that Void Elves are High Elves too.

They have equal amounts of differences politically and biologically, but they are the same race in terms of species. The only valid explanation of them not being the same is if you’re referring to them having different cultures with would apply to all 3 and therefore in that sense they are all different races. But when people refer to them as a race they typically mean through the initial explanation of same species.

The one who’s the villain at the time.

Aside from that, their big Titan feared the Void. Blood Elves fear the Void as well, but not Fel.

We are the true Blood Elves, who go after power where others wouldn’t. The ones in your factions are Humans!

It didn’t actually. Blizzards own words. They’re not changed at all beyond a temporary eye color shift.

There are no physical differences between Blood or High Elves. Only cultural and political differences.

This information comes form a non-canon source and is not real.

too bad those changes won’t happen until like 2 years from now lol

That is still change, aren’t it? Change doesn’t mean turning into a squid and destroying stormwind.

Nah its just a coloration. Their eye adjust based on magic near to them or used by them. Thats a natural effect they just have.

If a High Elf hung around Silvermoon during TBC they’d have gone green too regardless of if they partook of any mana tapping. It was just the radiation alone that changed that aspect not anything any of them did.

In theory high elves that are faithful would also shift to gold.

Its not a physical change of their species but a magical tell that shift with the magic around them.

Yes, what the people trying to prevent certain classes from being on certain races is called “an exercise in futility”.

The same thing happened to people who tried to stop high elf customization from coming to Void Elves.
