WORGEN.
A CLASS MOSTLY OF UNARMED ANIMATIONS.
Why noooooootttttt?
WORGEN.
A CLASS MOSTLY OF UNARMED ANIMATIONS.
Why noooooootttttt?
To each their own, I respect your differing opinion.
It was just an alternative concept and one that I certainly feel should be offered as an option in addition to the primary void elf paladin order that did entirely utilize Void rather than light. But for those that wanted to stick with Light in universe, but also keep their void identity too, they could.
Yeah the no monks for Worgen, Goblins and LFD is very odd.
I canât really figure why they were excluded.
Obviously because Blizzard is picking on me, personally. Only rational explanation.
From a business perspective they probably wonât. Why do every race at once when you can trickle and call it ânew contentâ for brownie points
Oh I recognize that. Iâm just salty about it.
Best case scenario theyâd just put everyone to the same level and be done with it.
Ultimately it will probably follow Zandraeâs setupâŚ
As such.
Just tired of waiting for things for not only my void elves but many other races.
Simple things like eye colors, hair options, tattoos, scars, and some amount of equalization between how that is setup.
Like both male and female Night Elves should have scars for body and head and tattoos for body and head.
Heterochromia and blindness options should be across the board and for both eyes in all eye colors.
Yada yada.
This is exactly what âpre-patch phase 1â was, trickle in non-content(UI and Talents) and call it new and actual content.
So we know Blizzard likes to do this, a lot in fact.
I donât think any void elf folks are asking to be placed at the front of the line. The threads are so when it is their turn that what they would like to see is taken into account during production.
Other groups of players that play different races should do the same. I for one still wait for a real pass for Pandaren.
Although personally Iâd prefer class customization over race customization right now.
I think most people when they post in these sorts of threads are more on the line of âthat sounds coolâ than I need it now, but there are obviously some people who feel they should be immediate and now.
This. We need more customization threads where people can drop their ideas and wants and desires for those races. Preferably only one per race though⌠Not spamming constantly.
Iâm still more interested in race customization and added ARâs than class customization overall.
Just concerned that Blizzard will mess it up now theyâve apparently decided new classes is the hot topic and are ignoring race customizations.
If that were true so many people wouldnât be trying to downplay what VEs have gotten.
Or get annoyed when itâs pointed out.
Or come up w concepts of âeveryone should get a pass at the same time nextâ when okay thatâs nice in theory once everyoneâs on the same page. We canât all be on the same page until weâve all had 3 passes like VEs so once weâre all ready for a fourth pass then sure.
People are prone to hyperbole.
Especially when it fits their narrative. Or exaggerating things that have more emotional weight for them than they might for someone else.
Thatâs why I rather like comparing customizations numerically. But thatâs my personal biases.
Both Naughtymoon and I have the same stance in that regard.
It doesnât bother me to be pointed out Pandaren need more before BEs because itâs true. Etc etc and the list goes on.
Iâd like to see peoples favorite races get fair treatment which rn means some races need to catch up.
Yeah, I think thatâs what Fel was saying that most peoplesâ views here are.
And, in my case, heâs right.
I talk more about void elves because, to be honest, thereâs more conversation about them.
Nah, most people donât care as much as you and I do. The regulars care. But everyone else who just passes by is just âoh thats coolâ or ânah famâ.
Thats as far as it goes for the average poster.
VEâs have gotten a lot of very impactful options. Weâre effectively three races for Old Gods sake. Doesnât mean everyone places the same value on all those options though.
I can be salty I didnât end up getting the void options I wanted. I didnât even actually get the full tentacle toggle I wanted. I did get the black and white hair⌠thats about all I got on my list of desired options.
Though I do generally expect and am often surprised by those who wanted high elf options still being so hostile about trying to get more more more. The one remaining high elf I have is very definitely a high elf as she is. I donât need any other customizations to get her there. The most she could use is tattoos.
Or they can just do everyone at once⌠so everyone gets what they need. I really donât see much of a downside there.
Now that wonât happen most likely and if theyâre going to do it piecemeal then yeah. I got no problem waiting awhile. Iâm still gonna talk about what I want to see for Void Elves though. Iâm not just gonna let Blizz forget.
My guess for Goblins and Worgen is that itâs primarily due to their starting experiences being time locked prior to MoP and thus have no access to the teachings that became available after Pandaria was discovered. My answer to that is to force Worgen and Goblin Monks to start in Exileâs Reach. That addresses any discontinuity.
Thereâs really no reason Lightforge couldnât have picked up instruction on Monk teachings though. Theyâve been on Azeroth for a while now, and given the several year time skip post Shadowlands, thereâs really no excuse why they canât have access to the Monk class now. If the Void Elves, Nightborne, and Highmountain can have it, why not Lightforged?
TâPaaaaaaaaartos is an unarmed brawler and heâs your Lightforged introduction character, dagnabit.
Yeah nowadays it really has little excuse for why those races alone canât be monks.
Like for real.
I suspect there is a difference between being able to use something on a class by switching a spec and intrinsically using both. It would be the same if you said that Priests could use both in the same spec in equal measure.
You can hardly turn into a Paladin while playing as another class entirely.
Selectively ignoring the fact that the argument states âcoming into contact with x or yâ and being predominantly either or leaves you with a fallacy.
No matter how you want to write it, it doesnât matter. Alleria still can have physical contact with Turalyon despite your claim. This was clarified in the series. But I suppose weâre going to go down the reductionist path for the sake of advocating ideas you think are based in lore.
And as for the timelock, if a pandaren can wander over to visit the crashed draenei spaceship or Eversong falling apart, they should have been able to sample Kezanâs finest ales or check out what was going on behind the wall.
