Void Elf Paladin make a lot of sense

You not liking them, I mean I don’t hate you or anyone else for not wanting them to come but I have always wanted them as a playable race/class combo so that’s why I said not cool but I’m not really mad at you or anyone else for wanting stuff or not wanting stuff since I know we all want different things. :yum: :yum: :yum:

I thought both Blood and Void are High Elves. Blood just name changed in honor of the ones who died earlier.

Honestly, I’ll get over it, the mmo market is changing and if WoW wants to survive it has to evolve and adapt, like how a lot of new mmo’s don’t tend to bar races from classes.

My only thing now is hoping they give a good reason for it other then “fighting fire with fire” cause a) that seldom works and b) that’s the demon hunter’s thing.

Do you want an explosion of epic proportions? Cus thats how you get an explosion of Epic Proportions. See, Alleria or however you spell her name and the sunwell explodes.

My main thought is how long until

The type of people Akston talked about, I am sure would immediately move from “thanks for the class skin but wouldn’t it be great for more options and a glyph to let us be regular paladins too” thus making all class skin work irrelevant.

If Blizzard took the time to make class skins I would hope they enforced their aesthetic and not simply undo it all making it a waste.

Thats a fair thought no?

Sorry, but races like Draenei going, “yeah, I want to be one out of three to go insane and die with a demon in me!” or “hey, they may have decimated my entire planet, but I’ll go be kissy face with those demons!” is not “expanding culture.” It’s just bad.

Yeah, there’s no difference other than politics for belves and helves, and the void changes for velves. Velves are both belves and helves. The three never like each other… Kinda amusing how that also translates to players not liking those who play ‘those other elves’

It’s not and I will remain the number 1 advocate for restrictions until they come down. More homogenization in Warcraft removes what makes it unique.

Shamanism among the Horde was cool, and felt right because it was ingrained into their culture, along with a fierce history of pride and honor. It was from this bases that Thrall’s horde was easily able to identify, and form bonds with, the Tauren and Trolls after the events of Mount Hjyal.

Similarly, Paladins in the Alliance were really cool, and felt right because the culture of the Alliance was based around this worship of the Light. A Paladin was more than just a priest who decided to pick up heavy armor and a weapon–they trained vigorously to call the Light in the midst of melee, and always tried to follow a path of righteousness.

Druidism, and a Matriarch society which cast out those who practiced the arcane and all things unnatural defined the Night Elves and made them unique. The divide between the Quel’dorei and the Kaldorei defined an entire history for two of the most popular races in Warcraft, and it was their DIFFERENCES that made them unique.

A place of homogenization is where art goes to die. It is NOT the path that Warcraft should follow.

Blood Elves have been biologically altered. Have you not see the glowy green eyes? The Wretched that result when Blood Elves don’t have their biological needs met?

By your logic, Void Elves and Blood Elves and High Elves are all the same race (despite being altered), so Void Elves should be able to be Paladins just like Blood Elves.

For the sake of gameplay fairness, perhaps some classes do not need to be excluded from certain races. If a certain class and race combo doesn’t make sense to you, no one is forcing you to roll it.

I just have a different opinion.

There were lore reasons for Night Elves not being Mages or Orcs not being Priests, but we have them now.

I would also like to take this time to mention that High Elves aren’t really a paladin race. Never have been.

again, if they can give a GOOD REASON FOR THE RACE CLASS COMBO TO OPEN I am down for it . . .

don’t make blind assumptions mate . . . fel I love the high elf stuff we got (if that wasn’t painfully obvious) and honestly I feel like class skins would be a VERY SMART investment of time . . . might even get some nifty blood knight stuff in there to enhance the blood elf paladin aesthetic cause ya know your technically a blood knight and not a paladin.

I won’t. And for the sake of coherent lore I will continue to argue against nonsensical race/class combinations. If you have a problem with that no one is forcing you to read my comments

Which are going away. And it’s just eye colors, humans can have their eye colors change if they get too much sun, it’s not a big deal.

Other way around, that was binging on magic.

Wrong. So wrong.

The magic they use and how they used it is NOT a biological change to their being. They can literally have blue eyes now, due to the Sunwell and the Arcane. They lost the green once they stopped sucking magic from things like leeches.

Void Elves are the ONLY ones that were biologically altered. The infusion of Void goes all the way through them, down to blood and DNA. They WERE Belfs/Helfs.

I don’t know how you made that stupid connection, because that’s probably the dumbest thing I’ve heard today.

Facts aren’t opinions, honey.

Can you show the differences in DNA between the two or is this just your opinion that Void Elves have been genetically altered?

Why are you claiming the Outland High Elves?

We have Lanesh who has been around since MOP, devs have stated there is more to his story we just haven’t seen it yet,

https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/590007428402249728/628635866499121155/WoWScrnShot_100219_025324.jpg

When you look at his full ensemble like his pants / gloves it looks like he is in tattered Scryer clothing, does that mean the Outland High Elves at first chance they got reconnected w their kin? And then later returned to Azeroth? We don’t know do we.

But we do know Auric oversees pilgrims returning to Quel’thalas so there is an interest there, the implications are certainly there at least as much as you trying to claim the same group.

I’ll ignore your snark. Lore specifically tells us that they’ve been completely altered by the Void, as does their Void skin, hair, tentacles, form, etc.

Durzaan immediately began a spell to capture and corrupt Umbric and his followers, binding them in an attempt to transform the elves into creatures of the void.

the sin’dorei had been transformed by the ritual

And that’s only a couple of explanations out of many.

It’s not opinion. It’s fact.

. . . you mean the elf introduced in Mists of Pandaria? I’m not “claiming” the outland high elves (seriously? CLAIMING? come on now) I’m merely stating ONE POPULATION are very clearly Alliance allied, not any of the Scryers, who were lorewise were followers of Kael’thas before defecting which you’d know if you listened to Khadgar’s little arcane guide during the Shattrath intro quest.

Also can I just say thats a VERY BIG assumption your making based off npc garb which is not unique to that one elf . . . theres just not a lot of race themed clothing out there. (Also ignoring that outside Suramar you can see high elves along side the alliance forces so yea)

Lastly Auric makes a pilgrimage sure, but that doesn’t mean any high elf who travels to see the Sunwell is automatically “rejoining their kin”, just that they went to see something that holds significance to them . . . and before y’all go quoting the unique blood elf dialog for the Quel’delar quest that tripe ain’t official canon until stated otherwise, and if that WAS in fact any kind of indication then by that logic the Huntmaster in legion would canonically be a blood elf based solely on unique dialog for reclaiming Thas’dorah.

I was thinking about this and then went to look up notable High Elf paladins and they are virtually non-existent save for a generic class trainer of no renown.
