Exactly
I like that you labeled them to their respective views. I do fit within the âHEâ community I suppose, even though I donât see any around here.
The way Iâve viewed the issue between the segue of the Elven community is more that they all want different fantasy, and some are splitting hairs over rebranding names. Whether we talk about nightborne, high elves, blood elves, void elves, they all are related to each other and they are copies of each other with some emergent properties due to their evolution and desires that changed them. Illidan isnât less of a Night elf because he has an affinity for consuming demons. Kaelâthas isnât less of a high elf because he consumed fel. Nightborne are still night elves that were only physically changed because of the nightwell.
The point Iâm making is they are all derived from a common ancestor, that being trolls. Void elves werenât a bad idea, iâm not opposed to it. Its not my fantasy class in any sense. Iâve always had an affinity for the more LOTR elves due to their representation. Like wise, high elves, blood elves, and void elves are quite literally all the same. Its like being upset about Georgians and Floridians. Its just kinda moot. Theyâre residents of different states, but still the same people.
And if that is not good enough, I suggest you read arthasâs book and look for the part where according to arthas felt about the the hammerâs weight to him before and after the paladin ritual.
Void elves are definitely not the same as high elves and blood elves.
If they were, then they would have no problem being near the Sunwell.
Hm. Doesnât Alleriaâs vision and interactions with her nuclear family demonstrate otherwise?
If I remember correctly she can in fact touch Turalyon but not in void form, which means she isnât literally the void correct? So is it then impossible for them to be vestiges of the light at all?
They also can be priests, which priests can choose to take on a shadowy appearance or simply infused with light. Similar to the undead, Iâm not that informed on this topic but it does seem pretty reasonable to assume its not impossible for them to be paladins.
Void elves are banned from Silvermoon because of the caustic/negative effect they have on the Sunwell.
They are descended from the same ancestor and were high elves before they became void elves. But I wouldnât use that argument too much, someone might think you hold similar views RL xD
The closest we got with alleriaâs family interactions harming them is with turalyonâs and alleriaâs magic interactions, a big one falls with the time where turalyon going through alleriaâs void portal. where he stated he felt like the void magic was trying to tear him apart while he traveled through it.
or you know, the fact theyâre part of opposing factions.
What?
There was literally an entire scene about void elves being banned because of thisâŚ
Youâre worried about phenotypes when you should be worried about the genome.
Void elves did not join the alliance until after they where banned from silvermoon.
No, High elves were still allowed to make their pilgrimage to the Sunwell. The void elves were only removed because of what happens when they are near it.
whoosh. nod and smile
This is correct.
I think you should go back and revisit the scene where Alleria is allowed back into the city to see the Sunwell and then causes this massively negative reaction. This explains why void elves have been banned from Silvermoon.
I think you missed the argument, so its irrelevant.
There is no argument. You stated that void elves are the same as high elves and blood elves but that is factually wrong.
Blondfire, do you think yellow people, white people, and black people are different? Go ahead and tell me why you think physical differences are relevant.
This is correct, lore wise even after the skin color ret-con they still bleed blue, we can theorize beyond the skin color their bio-mass had been completely transformed.
