If Helves were a thing I assume they’d just get the Belf hair. Wouldn’t cost Blizz any extra resources at all. Besides, Void Elves have a lot of hair options already. I do have to say I hate how nearly every male Void Elf hair style has a Dracula receding hairline.
Because if Blizzard ever adds void elves paladin they will just add them and not explain anything. First off, there is already built in lore that you need BOTH light and void to actually find “truth”(one of the pillars of paladins)
Alleria tried to make sense of it all. She searched the Void’s knowledge for answers. When none came, she instinctively reached out for the Light. The two forces collided in a blinding jolt of pain. But she glimpsed a truth: Turalyon screaming silently as his soul was ripped from his body
Second, any explanation would not be more or less silly then the current explanation for draenei rogue. Apparently they are all space sailors that suddenly arrived on Azeroth.
If they add Helves and leave Velves alone, then go ahead. Or adding Helves customization without forgetting about Velves customization is also good.
That’s the sad thing.
They’re an easy addition but Blizzard refuses to do it. For they know many a Blood Elves would race and faction change immediately if they could be a real High Elf.
They should fully enhance the other less catered to current races’ customization options so people are happy. High Mountain Tauren have like literally nothing hardly. But I’d still want High Elves ONE day.
Which, if you think about it. It doesn’t matter anymore now that we can play cross faction! Just let people play the flavor they want. Blue or Red. And I want original Blue team High Elves
How to add high elves in 3 easy steps:
Step one, have an NPC that you can talk to that changes your racial tagging to high elf. While you use said tagging, you cannot use void elven aesthetic.
Step two, the racials are almost exactly the same as void elves except now they all have arcane theme named/relation(arcane embrace, arcane resistance, Quel’dorian calm, Arcane Rift)
Step three, no step three needed.
Yes yes yes! I suggested this above exactly! Allow us to “cleanse” the void, and then our racial tag would be “High” Elf, and the racial abilities would be Arcane-themed.
It was never “more” customization, it was a superfluous addition that already existed on the actual playable high elf race that has been playable since BC.
Whether people took issue w it over the loss of visual uniqueness for BEs, or simply saw it as a superfluous redundant addition that doesn’t amount to “more” customization it doesn’t matter, people are valid in their stances.
Imagine the game changing since 2007
The game did change the day they added the playable high elf race horde side.
And again when Alliance got a Void addition.
And an arguably more impactful change wouldn’t have been allowing the visual uniqueness of a pre existing Horde race to be infringed on, but additional actual void customizations
The game will change again the day true High Elves are added to Alliance. I’ll make sure to bookmark the thread.
I also think Nathanos Blightcaller “fresh undead humans” should be added to the Horde. I bet you hate that idea too old timer. Lol.
No.
Add them to the race selection screen as High Elf.
You’re the one who can’t get over WC2. Lol.
At least I’m open minded.
They are.
They are just a little…purple.
Those are filthy voidies
Also know as High Elves.
If tauren can be rogues i want my undead paladin.
Not at all.
Abominations have no identity.
