Void Elf-High Elf Customization Thread

You literally circled the part where they changed their name.

Taps her nose

Yeah, there’s a reason for that.

I wonder if high elf wayfarers consider themselves void elves now that they are learning about the void.

I think that the new skin tones we got are meant to represent those high elves and blood elves at Telogrus rift, because for what we know, the only thalassians with blue skin are those in the void elf recruitment scenario.

Would be nice to have this confirmation, and see how much the void can change those new students. Would be nice to see them with Velf hair colors and hairstyles.

My understanding of causality implies that after one changes one’s name, one has a different name. Are we before or after the “now” when the name was changed?

Maybe we’ll find out when Blizz remember to have those wayfarers become something else than just wayfarers.

They are simply RP options, not a change of what VEs are. Blizz said this.

And a name is just that, a name.

It doesn’t change what they are.

They didn’t get turned into something else by an outside influence…

That would be Void Elves!

They’re like carthaginians and phoenicians, descendants, but with a new identity and political orientation.

You’re right but now I fear…

What if he comes up for another reason for another shot…

And they’re also fictional elves. Elves which we’ve seen actually changing due to the heavy influence of magic because they’re WoW’s Eevees.

Yes, we saw them turn to evil, like the horde… And that’s why they are no longer Quel’dorei.

You know, for someone who wants to stick to WCII era lore only, you sure like to pretend like High Elves were actually friendly with the human kingdoms.

Living in ≠ under the authority of, you’ve been told this AND given examples.

There is no sneaky way for you to make excuses for neutrality, the Alliance can actively gain reputation with them, they don’t even appear for the Horde, which most “neutral” factions do.

It was very neutral, of the silver covenant and their leader to neutrally park high elven ballista at the gates of orgrimar in the verge of a full scale Alliance V. horde war.

Odd how the neutral city they live in was no where to be seen and yet still allowed them to act in such an un-neutral way for the Alliance war effort.

Well for sure they weren’t into being used as puppets of the undead. That much I know.

Indeed. Instead they knew well that they were only helping the humans because they felt they had a debt, and as soon as that was dealt with, they left them behind.

We also weren’t into being abandoned by Alliance and killed by Alliance but here we still are.

Blood Elves are High Elves and the Kingdom of Quel’thalas has been Horde longer than…? Well hmmm how long was Quel’thalas in the Alliance for? WC2? And? They left, not even at the time of WC3 were they Alliance until Kael briefly made them so?

Seems to me that fittingly Blood Elves (High Elves) are more a Horde core race then people give them credit for.

Yeah and I get that, but there are elves out there who could dye their hair without causing a rift in the universe. I don’t even want to name then high elves or anything, or change the background with that corrupted planet.

You’re asking for too much from my brain right now. But I sure know that it’s been far less than 15 years (which I believe that in lore years, it’s a lot longer).

And you acknowledge your crowd has been listened to multiple times already.

So yes the last of the visual distinction is a big deal. Otherwise why are you asking for it? If it’s no big deal you don’t need it anyways.

Visual distinction is the argument.

Blood Elves yes, of course. They even modified their appearance slightly to keep alliance leaning thalassian elves looking a bit different. But now there is a new world out there, a world with tattoos, and hair dyes, and blue eyes for the horde.

Technically any race could dye their hair or style their hair however they wanted to if this game was the real world but it’s not we have to go by and follow Blizzards restrictions and the restrictions are that Void Elves have emo hair colors and emo hair styles and that’s fine people are still playing them so it’s not really an issue.
