If you use the full, thick or tufts beards sideburns are disabled for you.
I didnât say that they are, I just donât agree that if you arenât actually playing a Blood Elf that you should have access to the same options, Iâm sorry but I will never agree with you on that one.
Almost every reply Iâve made in this regard is in the case of precedent.
Iâm not arguing that because I want natural options, Iâm arguing it because I worry that if certain precedents are set, it gives them leeway to take things in a direction I feel is bad.
Like imagine if they added pink hair to Blood Elves (is that something you want? if not, replace that with something you want) but Warlocks donât get access because it âdoesnât fit the classâ or the eye options you want to use canât pair with this hypothetical new option because âit doesnât make lore senseâ for it.
Itâs not a direction I think is good for the game.
Isnât that because they have built-in sideburns themselves though? Or am I mistaken?
You post like they are.
You constantly imply that the standard elf visual isnât valid for void elves, despite the character who spawned void elves having them, just because it makes them look like blood elves.
I get that you donât want the visuals shared, but you can stop trying to claim they arenât âtrue void elf optionsâ. Itâs just as bad as a lot of helfer arguments.
The difference is one race should be 100% like another when itâs only on one side, Alliance is no more special than Horde and doesnât deserve to be treated as such. Plus we donât get to take anything 100% from Alliance so why should you? Furthermore, I can accept whether I get say pink hair or not, Iâm never going to be spamming threads about how or why I want something.
They do have short sideburns. Although itâs odd because the orc stuff just lets you chuck anything with anything even if it clips to all hell.
So ask for it.
Also, there hasnât been a race that looks just like an Alliance race shoved down the Hordeâs throat for the entire life of the game.
I post how I post, you donât like it we donât have to reply to one another anymore. Iâve told others that before and if thatâs how you want to go we can go that route.
Because Void Elves arenât Blood Elves, I have felt that way from the start even when I was somewhat neutral on the topic I felt it was wrong direction and I still feel we shouldnât be shafted into sharing 100% of our race with yours when we donât get the same thing.
The difference is if I want to play Alliance races I play Alliance, why shouldnât you play Horde if you want a Horde race?
You donât think Iâm an Alliance diehard because I post on a Human do you? I play both sides, though I prefer Horde in most situations.
I hope this wasnât directed specifically at me, as Iâve never created a topic on the WoW forums in general, let alone about wanting something.
If that was directed at me, I have no idea what youâre on about.
Ask Blizzard. Theyâre the ones that shoved it down my throat for years, then gave me most of it in SL.
It wasnât, it was an example of that although I want certain things Iâm not going to go crazy if I donât get them, itâs like my feelings about Nightborne do I think they need better model yes, do I want more customization yes, if I donât ever get either will I still play them yes.
Because you and a lot of others kept asking for it, thatâs what makes all the difference, Ion tried to throw Alliance a bone by giving you an elf swap and people werenât still satisfied, even now you arenât, not really.
Blizzard making lots of Alliance npcs of a Horde race is not generally something that people opposed to making one of our core races neutral were fine with either.
Blizzard giving FAR more of the Hordeâs flavour to the Alliance than vice versa and then using that flavour as an excuse to extract MORE of it is completely ridiculous.
Iâm not satisfied because I want tattoos that your race doesnât own?
Iâve said numerous times it wouldnât break my heart if I never get the hair.
Thatâs why I think updating Alleria makes sense, the Void has been in game for a while now, and it can logically be effecting her, even if itâs just giving her permanent void form hair.
Farstrider tattoos are a High Elven thing which are what Blood Elves are so technically it is ours. I usually wonât jump into that part of this topic because I donât care about tattoo options but thatâs ours as well not yours.
She looks exactly as blizzard designed her.
Her model isnât another race or not look like her.
Itâs not about her representing the void elves.
The ones we play were designed to look different.
I got no issues with her clothes or armor being made to match the void elves.
Honestly I personally donât care too much if she becomes a blueberry.
Though Somand pointed out that it means any void elf is slowly succumbing more to the void destined to effectively become a monster over time which I donât likeâŚ
Weâre supposed to have control.
Sheâs my favorite character from WCII.
Iâd rather she just remain a representative of the void elves to SW and Umbric take the lead in action situations over all. Which in bfa he mostly did.
Blizzard and especially ion say what they think will get them past the question.
Theyâre not concerned beyond that about sending any messages imo.
I like the newer Jaina, but the older TyrandeâŚ
While Iâm at it I prefer Sylvanas without the Jailors touch.
Sheâs not like us though.
Her affiliation to the void isnât the same as any other void elf, so what good does it do?
I agreeâŚ
Theyâve already added the skins, to say weâd just lose them anyways⌠Why did they bother then?
Itâs too late for this to make sense.
We regularly turn blue to be fair.
Now that would be entirely reasonable I think.
Still shows more void without dooming us all.
Not only that how they make that occur could work in many ways.
I donât like perma void form myself.
Blueberry skintone sure but void form all the time looks tacky to me.
Technically itâs nobodyâs.
It only exists on one NPC as a reference to her appearance in an older game, nothing more.
Yet itâs a fan request to look like her, and another fan request to keep visual distinction, a logical route is having the story be the means for the path of least resistance to satisfy both ends in some degree and since the side that objects to Alleria being altered this way more arguably just got options that came at the expense of Horde aesthetics I think that story is okay to be told.
VEs being introduced as the Thalassian model on the alliance you donât think sends the message they value visual distinction to some degree without them explicitly saying so?
Lol, I like the before of them all specifically like older ones minus Jaina and like I said yesterday I liked her more after the Theramore explosion.
I actually want this option, like full time on Void Elves like the picture Mag posted yesterday. Lol.
But the basis for you wanting normal options comes from NPCâs so why can I not say that itâs ours given in lore we do it not you, I mean I have supported Void Elves getting a purple version but itâs not really something they should have like have.
