Void Elf-High Elf Customization Thread

Oh no, whatever will I do without my access to…the…WoW…General…Forum.

I agree velves should get alleria’s tattoos while belves get runic one like the male from TBC boxart has.

But sorry, no blond hair. You need to hang on to the last shred of void you have so it actually makes sense to call you a void elf, not just when ur in combat.

Curious, why are the void lords so anti-blond hair again?

Thought they could make tentacles any color nowdays, from pink to blue to blonde to orange?

I saw it in an anime.

Bruh, this post had 900 comments all equally ridiculous.

Need I remind you we are all in a thread that’s been arguing for the past year or so, about if a fictional race, in a fictional world should or shouldn’t have a yellow tinge in their hair because of a fictional story that doesn’t exist?

And my sarcastic comments are breaching the line of “non-civil”?

Give me a break.

as long as their version is purples/pinks and reflects the void

I’m glad you understand.

Well their version is similar to alleria, kinda like dwarf tattoos.

The belf tattoos im talking about look like spell runes on ur body and face. Google TBC box art. Very cleary difference.

With some people it’s sometimes impossible to stay kind because they aren’t, you should never extend something like that when they aren’t doing the same for you.

theyre actually farstrider tattoos. its part of their culture. if alleria was never a farstrider she wouldnt have those. allerias current look is flat out cultural appropriation from the blood elves

Alleria’s tattoos are based off the tattoos sported by the upgraded elven ranger unit from Warcraft II, in which she was also a character and had similar markings.

In Warcraft II, these were team coloured, though I think Alleria’s were always red since she was a special unit.

Speaking of the Warcraft 2 ranger markings, a guy on Twitter named handclaw made a mockup of them on Blood Elves:

Those look amazing.

So, when is Blizzard hiring handclaw?

yep and while somand doesnt like to acknowledge it, after the second war over. those farstriders returned to quel’thalas

we saw them again in wc3s expansion tft

it upsets me when people try to separate this from blood elves and pretend its an alliance thing

Personally, I think both blood and void elves should get farstrider and arcane tattoos.

However belfs should get the runic and Pheonix type tattoos while velf get Nzoth rune tattoos.

Then give each side colors for the side.

Belfs get reds, orange, yellow, light, fel and blood.

Velf get blues, teals, greens, purple and void.

Both get white and black tattoos.

I think when you find her she was teal, but subsequent missions after she’s the hero red.

Beautiful.

100% of all Farstriders are Horde? Is that what you’re claiming?

How is my character a hunter then?

It’s a Thalassian thing. It shouldn’t be tied to either faction.

I want purple for belfs too. Just make them different shades!

I mean tbf that’s a correct statement.

this is the whole problem with the fanfiction race that is void elves. its a blood elven(spoilers maybe high elven) thing. its not a part of void elf heritage

void elves should get purple pink and black. blue is not a marker of being alliance and vice versa for red. if it was night elf demon hunters would not have a red tattoo option. its fine they share colors

but DHs are illidari. thats what the tattoos represent. if a DH could magically change back to a normal elf the tattoos dont make sense as they dont deserve to or represent the illidari. just like if a normal blood elf decides to become a void elf, that culture and aesthetic no longer suits them. you have no right to represent the blood elves or their culture and void elves need to be their own thing

I’m a middle school teacher. It’s pretty in my nature to extend kindness to people who aren’t extending it back :stuck_out_tongue: However, I work with kids. It’s a harder bullet to bite when adults are intentionally being rude because they should know better.
