I know that but there are horde players who also want high elves to return to Silvermoon.
For what? Because they donât have enough Blood Elves (= âHigh Elvesâ in red) already? Sometimes I canât believe these people are at the same age as me.
Indeed, itâs strange because they already have the âhigh elvesâ, but they can also ask whatever they want.
Pretty much. Like IDK why Horde players want the âHigh Elfâ name tag personally, but I feel it would be plausible given the context, and after Void Elves got Darkfallen customization with little context added, it feels doable.
Even if Iâm not the sort of people that wants or understand the desire for a Horde High Elf, it would be nice for everyone who wants the option to get it.
They donât need it, it would be just fanservice because they donât have the actual High Elves. Itâs the irony though: They are High Elves but donât call themselves anymore while the Alliance has the actual High Elves and not the right racials while having the vanity items (mounts, tabards, transmog).
What a weird world we live in.
As I said, I donât know why would anyone would want it, but hey, live and let live. There are Horde aligned High Elves in canon, and if a player wants that fantasy, good on them.
High Elf customizations are already cross-faction sharing anyway.
Of course, there would need to be more HE customizations (hairstyles, tattoos) but there would also need to be a quest to really formalize high elves like the manâari and dark rangers. The race tag option would just be a bonus for all sub-race customizations.
Who are they? And there are Alliance-aligned Blood Elves too
The Alliance has only a few Blood Elves in numbers. The original corrupted Void Elves and Valeera as a story character.
Otherwise: High Elves. Why would a Blood Elf join the Alliance?
The Silvermoon Scholars of Telogrus Rift are friendly with the Void Elves/Alliance. Itâs probably blood elves who were banished from Silvermoon like Umbric and his group.
Pretty much; as I said in another reply I think, High Elf Farstrider customization options could very naturally come in the context of Outland HE returning Azeroth. Just like DR, they canonically already exist on the Horde and the Alliance, it would just be a nice framing for the whole thing, and serve to give context to some small things, like some Horde HE deciding to go by that name, or some of those Farstriders joining Alleria and the Void Elves.
Thaloâthas Brightsun is the first one that comes to mind. Heâs actively hostile to alliance forces and works in Horde aligned lands. There are some others that give more of a neutral vibe, but leaning to the Horde.
I do think the Void Elves are Alliance aligned BE, I think they literally are lmao. Like even if we consider that is canonical that all of them turned blue and canât return to their OG form -since we donât have canonical explanation about their SL skin and hair colors) Itâs very likely that there are some BE that didnât join that first group, yet still follow his ideals, and left the Horde later.
Point being, given the current politics, itâs very possible that both High Elves and Blood Elves to want to be on the opposing faction; I think that the only question is how acceptable in universe would be to keep the name if you do so.
Personally, I think a HE that goes back to Silvermoon would simply choose to refer to themselves as a Blood Elf, but evidently there are people that think otherwise, so who am I to declare that no High Elf ever would want to keep their name even if they want to ally with Silvermoon or the Horde?
They are and itâs canon.
You cannot wear Quelâdorei-based transmog as Horde Blood Elf, because you are not a High Elf anymore. Itâs like Bronzebeard VS Wildhammers VS Dark Iron Dwarves.
I donât understand your point here.
Leave me alone.

Thank you kindly for linking the CC post. With the overwhelming amount of support, I wish for our Alliance traditional high elven dream to become reality. Shorelâaran! I eagerly wait expansion two âMidnight.â
The Midnight expansion will be very promising for fans of Thalassian elves.
I hope we get the neutral high elf allied race or a revamp for VE/BE.
May Belore shine with realization of our Alliance high elven dream in Midnight! So happy to see this forum post and the echoes from all sorts of players.
