Alleria is indeed the ideological pinnacle of what it is to be an Alliance High Elf. She has always been the blueprint of why people want Alliance High Elves.
Whatever you want “High Elves” to mean in the context of the thalassian people as a whole is separate of the rather obvious distinction that exists for Alliance High Elves.

The perpetual cycle won’t end until High Elves are an Allied Race. 
Hair styles that are none of their business. Hair colors. Paladin class. Entropic Embrace toggle. race title changes…
Which maybe isn’t so bad. It’s been the one constant on the forums for the last three years.

I haven’t seen anyone really come out swinging against Dark Rangers, Vampire Elves or Blood Elf customizations.

I am surprised that there was no White, Black, or brown option in those natural colors…but I’ll take what I can get. Excited about the tentacle toggle too!

I mean, didn’t we just get everything we want? Maybe we’re missing like 2-3 shades of hair colour, but this is pretty much everything we asked for. As someone who would go and immediately race change all of my paladins to VEs, I don’t think we need that class for our HE fantasy.

There are High Elf Shieldbearers in the order hall.
Been wanting to play a High Elf Paladin since Warcraft 2. Played a Blood Elf Paladin until BFA. But it’s just not actually the same.
But yes, you can finally play a convincing High Elf on Alliance side. Excited for this mage and my priest.

They have. On a regular basis. It’s not wise to paint it as “no one else has problems but us”. I can confirm as someone who runs the thread that people argue against those options constantly.

Eh that’s the thing. They are blue eyed elves so we really can’t know if they are meant to be High Elves or Blood Elves. I’m pretty sure they use BE voice sets as well.
Like High Elven paladins would be super neat, but IMO lorewise, they are kind of in the same boat than Kul Tiran paladins. They do exist and are possibly, but may not be representative of a race as a whole.
Lol every time I upload a red eye / undead skin mock up I get people saying “No, blood elves are not undead cannibals how dare you”

Yep. Arguing that exactly right now in another thread. Along with now some alliance members begging for San’layn/Dark Rangers for void elves.
Very tiresome.
Also, for the record as a blood elf player, I didn’t want the jewelry or any of that nonsense. Blood Elves didn’t get much of anything interesting with the new customizations. We wanted tattoos & scars. Some of us, including me, have continued to say that.
I personally don’t care if high elf customization is given. But saying “oh blood elves have enough” is just flat out nonsense.
