Nice to see some positive changes for Void Elves!
I think someone else mentioned it but everything Void Elves are getting so far, even at SL launch were hand-me-down recolors. They havenât had any actual new customizations like the other races where they got new hairstyles/hair colors/eye options.
While the latter two may look like that, it was always more of a âletâs share these things between the two thalassiansâ.
When Void Elves get an actual customization pass they most likely when input the Void options then, and I assume is when black/white hair will come in too seeing as Night Elves had to wait till SL customization to also get their black hair option finally.
You say as if that wasnât what you were after.
Were it my own choice, High Elves would be a separate Allied Race with unique model and stance and customizations.
Again, thatâs not the way Blizzard implemented nor do they seem anywhere close to that so just gotta roll with the punches.
Look, I get all that. But the request was for high elves, which blood elves are. And it just comes off as an attempt to minimize what you have already received. Yes they could have made new models, but there wasnât really a reason to do that. You got the look you wanted, just donât pretend it was some sort of snub to you.
Remember these feelings. This is what Alliance-players usually feel ever since Battle for Azeroth. A constant hopelessness with no small or big victories which brings joy to them.
Itâs still unbelievable how much care was put into the Heritage Armor. One of my favorites.
In my book the tentacle toggle is a void option, also I like to count the purple eyes. Cause Iâm trying to be positive.
Hopefully the tentacle toggle will apply to hairstyles without tentacles so folk can have them there if they want to.
Best I can hope for at this point. Hopefully with lore to explain how we make more void elves⌠and maybe just maybe a revamp of Telogrus Rift?
I want to say I am happy you all got what you were looking for.
Just kinda like. T_T Void theme when?
Iâm also a fan of Blood Elves and I kinda wanna see much more impactful stuff for them too.
Like I said. Just gotta wait for now.
Sometimes this bothers me from the pro group.
I get that they wanted High Elves as their own thing. I wanted Wildhammer as their own thing. Hell I wanted High Elves as their own thing⌠before I heard about Void Elves.
But like theyâve gotten so much more than I ever expected to see. Iâd be grateful. I am grateful and my bag is more the void stuff.
(Suppose though I was satisfied with the skin tones for the most part. lol)
Not minimizing what weâve received at all. As far as High Elf customization goes this is freakin amazing tbh, wayyyy more than I ever anticipated Void Elves receiving and let alone it being so soon (in my timeline it wouldâve happened next expac or the one after).
All Iâm saying is what Iâve always been saying that Blizzardâs been saying: Customization is an ongoing process.
That thereâs no additional void options atm does not mean there wonât ever be more of em in the future. Patience is the key and acknowledging and accepting the way and when Blizzard implements these additions.
Will you get over it?
The Alliance is not alone in disappointed no matter how much you try to convince me that the disrespect the last expansion had for me was victory.
It still amazes how little care and detail was put into the quest line, which was the only one locked for a time behind a raid and had zero to do with the heritage of the race and was a lame little teaser for this expansion.
Just the way you phrased that made it sound like it wasnât really a big deal and so obviously more would be coming. And I dunno, just with the way theyâve been acting Iâm not sure they really care about the original theme of the race.
What can I say, I play Tauren, I just assume disappointment from the devs.

People are grateful tho, it honestly speaks more of the poster themselves interpreting that people who wanted these High Elven customizations somehow arenât.
Fair enough. I developed an apathy for the Horde because there is nothing great about it if the core principle of faction balance is ignored. Nothing mattered anymore, the organic tug and war scenario was over the moment we overran them in every game feature.
I would have been actually be glad if the Goblin-quest was this way. The boss fight in the middle of the quest line was just so extremely unfun.
Yeah. At the end of the day, I want more hair styles.
The Void Elf, High Elf thing will continue to be a battle though. But ever since they went with Customization options instead of Allied Races it was always going to be this way.
Iâve always wanted High Elves. So the customization options I request are going to continue to be High Elf things. Void Elves are going to have a smaller voice⌠look at how many void elf skin colored people are really out there.
So hopefully Blizzard will be able to cater to both.
As said earlier, I feel like that says more about your views than mine to interpret my statements that way.
The way theyâre acting is full on trying to restore good faith with playerbase mode, Iâm happy for what we get but disappointing it took what recent events to get it.
But again, customization is evergreen content, continuously being added to. The OG races already had their pass at SL launch, some OG races left more wanting for sure, but theyâre getting around the barn so to speak, itâll come around again to everyoneâs other favorite races too.
Thanks. Iâm trying.
Oh its not everyone by a long shot, and yeah there is probably some level of my own perception involved, but some folk seem likeâŚ
Very quick to go after this as not enough.
And that I donât get.
Old Gods so much thisâŚ
Thatâs the norm. Humans, Night Elves, Blood Elves, have so many customization options and youâll still see fans of those races still ask for more even immediately after what was gotten on launch.
Itâs just normal to keep asking for more, whether thatâs more customization or more content, out of an MMO.
I donât get when people think others should simply stop asking. Especially due to player customizations having origins in what the players themselves want to see - therefore the devs have a better idea of what to prioritize adding in future passes.
This recent development with the Nightborne, LFD, and Void Elves especially shows it, the phrase âweâve seen feedback onâ as been repeated many times over these past few days.
Oh, like a wow version of Mystique!
we hope they listen to you

Yeah. fair point. Blood Elf players are quick to claim that Void Elves have enough and that they need more, despite having the most customization options.
I donât get when people think others should simply stop asking.
I think this is really funny when itâs not like the mission statement has ever been any differentâŚ
Everybody said in the beginning they wanted High Elves and then we got skin colors and they were like, âYou got what you wanted, why are you asking for more?â
The requests for High Elf hair colors, hair styles, tattoos, Paladins arenât ever going to stop. Iâll never even stop asking for a change of the race name.
Iâm not against Void Elves. Make High Elves an Alliance Race to save the Void Elves.
Yeah. fair point. Blood Elf players are quick to claim that Void Elves have enough and that they need more, despite having the most customization options.
They say we have enough until someoneâs talking about turning Void Elves into literal monsters, then itâs suddenly alright and acceptable to ask for more. Iâm so glad thereâs no reason to argue with the antis anymore, lmfao.
