I don’t know that this is rolling around. But hopefully so… we don’t need them as bad as Nightborne but it’s really hard not to look like some Reaver from Serenity right now. I only play males but it’s frustrating all the styles are taken from a Warhammer Dark Elf squad box.

It’s tough because for High Elves I think more subdued hairstyles fit. Though the Blood Elves have a couple of those. But Blood Elves actually have lore for having some pretty crazy hairstyles. (mostly in the now non-canon rpg. But they talk about it in the behind the scenes too.)

That was how they were rebelling from their Zombies ate my parents PTSD.

But at the same time to keep Void Elf players happy we need some Sweeny Todd hairstyles too.

So some standard fantasy flare and some Tim Burton stuff… and hopefully pigtails.

ikr, like people are too busy PVP ganking and dying while looking fabulous and PVE is all about killing bosses while looking fabulous.

Even in roleplaying, I am sure people want to look fabulous.

Who cares about lore at this point. People want to look beautiful. That’s the harsh truth.

preventing people from getting customization by devs is making fans support the idea, and gating that is so unhealthy and awful. Sure there maybe some hairstyles that maybe race restricted because that’s how they were designed, but it’s literally an elf model using same elf model. It does not hurt anyone at all. just a self privilege with no honor is all.

You don´t talk for the rest of the playerbase, man. I know I don´t play Vulpera even if I created two… this doesn´t mean I can come out and say “nobody plays a Vulpera”.

There is a small difference between being a popular or unpopular race. Gnomes were never well received but the hardcore players and given how they added a gnome-variation to the incredibly popular Vulpera, it felt like on purpose to spit on the Alliance. I remember reading so many disappointed Alliance-players who simply have given up on their faction at this point due the predominant Horde-storytelling and power in WM. I really felt sorry for them.

The Alliance should have gotten a high quality race and not a cheap knock off. I do not know if you are aware of it but besides the main hub Blizzard did not cared much about the well being for them. Just look at the Heritage Armors they released during this time. We got highly detailed armors with physics while the Alliance got an unwanted Worgen armor where the clock sticks to the hip like a glue. The Goblin and Tauren armor are one of their best works.

This phrasing makes no sense… you mention understanding of Horde racials just to continue with Alliance (?) racials that could compete with Orcs et al and then say that´s why they are lackluster (are they lackluster cause the racials were better than Horde ones?).

They gave some of the Horde AR bad racials on purpose. I mean, who will ever use the NB mail racial? It’s in most cases absolutely useless. And the RNG effect of the Mag’har Orcs. And the Vulpera? Why would anyone do this? The HMT is the big expectation which suited the tanky classes.

The “lack of” participation in high end content on the Alliance is an incorrect metric to use to quantify the whole population that plays on that faction, simply because by statistical means you are taking one of the extremes of the curve and deducting everything from it (ergo, you are biasing and contaminating with error the data since the very beginning of your analysis).

I usually play both sides depending on what we want to do in the game. Usually the finders are empty compared to the Horde, regardless of the content you play… and this does not even include raiding at all.

That is a player created problem, and NOT because people “left” but because the ones that stayed worry more about complaining on the forums demanding Blizzard solves this issue they create for themselves instead of you know… creating competitive raiding / arena / mythic+ teams.

It is a developer problem, without any doubts and they also acknowledged this by saying that they reacted too late.

Besides, it has been +13 hours since I looked here around and this topic has already +650 postings.

OK, then don’t use the natural hair colors on your void elf. Then you can enjoy the game the way you want. No one has to throw a tantrum over other people getting to play the way THEY want.

Instead of giving void elves natural hair, consider adding half elves instead

Adding natural themes to void elves harms the theme of the race, and can ruin the immersion of others that does not want to use them by those around them that does use the themes. Instead I propose adding a new race to fulfill the themes presented via high elves through half elves. The future of the qual’dorei is mingling with humans and having human/elf children which I dub as half elves. Agreed. They upset a lot of their players by deciding to cut customizations.

Ion was talking about having to cut a raid tier… If you’re in a situation where you can’t add customizations and do your normal progression content then ask for a bigger budget and hire more people. Ridiculous.

In a wider aspect, this is not only a developer issue, it’s also an attitude problem. Given with the cube crawls and their rockstar attitude it is really time they wake up, replace people and start acting like professionals. The game is in a very bad and unhealthy state.

You see this at Blizzcon where they really support the “For the Horde” people and then let them squash the Alliance Spirit. Your game has two playerbases.

People dislike this Blood Elf group likely because how vile you all have been. It’s not about “false claims”, perhaps it is more about how the behavior reflects outside these forums on this topic.

The irony in calling themselves the “pro-blood elf” group even though they’ve done nothing but crusade against high elves/void elves in the name of their self-proclaimed “racial preservation”.

The least these people could have done was make themselves seen through blood elf customization suggestions on the forums.
