But my friend, you can’t claim folk are obsessed by those definitions with your post history and not realize you’re obsessed by the same measure.
Also I’ll own up to it.
For a good (I’m estimating) month month and a half I was truly against high elf options. But for literal years I supported high elf options and for at least the last year I’ve been perfectly fine with you all getting what you wanted.
I just get uppity about misrepresentation of lore and folk who are less than kind. Lol
Now excuse me. I need to take my son to the Paw Patrol movie.
I still don’t have half a thousand posts on gatekeeping
anything in here like some. So I have plenty of the right to say that others are obsessed with gatekeeping hair colors.
Lol? You browse the forums for approval from others? I do it because it’s fun.
Oh yeah besides of more eye colors on DK’s, I’m all about unlocking DK skins for all BE clases, and honestly, also unlocking the DK skins.
There’s so much customization locked behind those two classes that would just exponentially give BE’s so much more stuff with just a toggle.
Whether Paladins are locked from this is besides the point imo, could go either way, but given the already existing fantasies of BE Illidari, and undead elves already on the Horde, it really as much sense to open those options for BE’s as it did to open the HE fantasy on HE’s.
Hopefully some day. I know most don’t think in the way the person I quoted did, but it bugged me to see that in particular. I’m not a fan of either the faction barrier or restrictions, but if I ever return to the game (after seeing true steps and accomplishments to improve conditions for employees), then I’d love to come back and actually be able to play what I’ve been really shooting for since Wrath.
Also wouldn’t mind hair style exchanges myself. I dunno if they ever will though.
Most of the pro HE people I have run into/interact with also support this. Not gonna say that there aren’t hypocrites out there, but thankfully I mostly hear people being open and supporting of it.
Some people just wanna be petty, and that’s has always been true for both camps. And I too hope there are some actual strides in favor fo ABK so I can enjoy these new customizations.
And as far as a new hairstyle swap-a-thon, I do believe we will be getting that in the future.
I used to support it, but then I realized from that posters interactions that she supports her own stuff but then goes to places like here and says no to customization she doesn’t like. She’s also heavily tried to gatekeep those who want light themes. And then I also realized that San’layn could just as well fit on the Alliance.
For sure. Also spreading lies about posters too. Luckily I never said “light doesn’t fit on the horde”, I said “I personally don’t want light themes” and “no to light themes for me, I wouldn’t use them”.
At least I’m not claiming “This faction owns this theme now” like some people.
As a certain poster here said, having an opinion isn’t gatekeeping. Look at that.
When it is basically the manager of that whole community you do, and I didn’t I simply offered a different option for San’layn. If one doesn’t give your community respect and disrespects it why should one respect the others community?
There are people that sadly are like that. Like I can’t deal with BE “fans” that want to minimize the fel aspect of BE’s, or that say that undead elves would be high elves instead of blood elves lol.
Again, you just don’t stop supporting something that’s ethically fair because other people are mean to you. Also I don’t even know who is supposed to be the “manager of the community” here.
And here you are guys praising Blizzard for literally delivering the laziest stuff ever. No wonder their work policy degenerated so far when the very customers will take anything they give and get the same praise as if they actually invested effort on it.
/Yawns
Zandalari already have green colored skins (will I know it, both my Zandalari are green skinned).
Considering the latest news regarding the lawsuit, you may want to use a better word in regards as something as inane as pixels in a game (in comparison to the actual meaning and connotations associated with irl gatekeeping).
DK trolls already have green skin options too. People wanted the big bulky model.
Reason why I despise when these types of posters try to suggest stuff for the Belves, cause they only do it trying to reduce the race at the minimal restrictive expression a.k.a. do to others what they didn´t like done to them (I mean if those guys don´t like the race that´s perfectly Ok, but then the minimum they should do is act like decent people and don´t put their noses in business that aren´t theirs, period).
Worse, he´s -as expected- ignorant in the actual lore and merely uses cosmetic superficial stuff as the measure metric… cause “Dark Gothic Edgy” elves have been a Horde thing since Vanilla (heck, the by anthonomasy Dark Edgy Gothic Elf was one of our racial leaders up to the previous expac and was our last Warchief too to boot!!).
So you´re merely trolling. Amazing you managed to admit it this time around.
Personally i just don´t want to see them implemented as an “only for undead Elves or GTFO” feature. If there´s a way to give the red eyes and similar stuff to Belves WITHOUT reducing it to “for DK and Hunters only”, I´m game.
That and the lore is why I´m not particularly supportive of “San´layn” options explained as such (I mean guys… San´layn NPCs are basically the current DK skins up to including the eye colors. Don´t believe me? Go check in ICC. so all those pretty bat stuff you guys ask for aren´t even a feature of the San´layn ffs.).
I hated to get blue/purple eyes explained as “only to portray High elf” theme, cause it literally ruined those colors for me (no, I don´t want to play a High elf on my Belf… was too hard to leave the reasoning about blue/purple eyes open so people that wanted to explain them as “Belves gorging themselves out once again in arcane” could use it?). I´d hate to get red eyes (that could be used as a customization feature of Blood Magic manipulation NOT associated with death / undeath AND that is the last bastion of uniqueness the Belves have narratively in this game) as an “only because Dark Ranger”. Also, as someone who actually values the differences between the races, it comes as extremely hypocritical to start demanding stuff that truthfully belongs to the Forsaken race.
Those and “Maw Esque” runes SHOULD be locked to DKs if only to put them on par with the other Hero Class a.k.a. the Demon Hunters.
The lack of customizations for the heroic DK class is starting to become more and more evident.
Let´s look for other reasonings to get the red eyes and similar red colored stuff on Belves that isn´t simply “because undead or GTFO”. That´s just as bad as pretending to reduce trhe Belves to “Lightforged” race when they narratively speaking don´t give a crap about the church of the Holy Light itself.
Yeah, I can’t stand that either. Fel aspect I wish was expanded more. Felblood aesthetic and customization options would be super neat, I feel, for blood elves. The lore isn’t there technically yet, but still, they could work something out story-wise, perhaps a splinter faction for felbloods. I’ve always loved their look since seeing them, too.
I can understand this argument. Well, the red eyes applying to blood elves could be dipping into blood magic more and more, I would say. I know some here dislike that idea, but it’s something I’m a fan of.
We have maw-esque runes? Or is that a suggestion people are tossing around for DK? I’d love to have runes for my DK, that would be sweet. I still wish, above all, DK got eye color selections based on their spec, but sadly I doubt that’ll happen.
