I get that, and I don’t think Blood Elves should be copied on to Void Elves either.
I always thought that if velves got flesh tones, they should have been obviously different. Whether that be less saturated than belf ones or whatever.
I was shocked that they literally copy-pasted all of the velf skins, even the DK ones (!!) to velves.
Exactly. If they only existed from a few in vanilla and a few more in TBC, I don’t think the demand would be as intense as it was.
Sorry if I seemed heated earlier. The idea of things being removed just triggers the heck outta me.

I just despise the idea of Blizzard ever setting a precedent that would allow them impunity in the removal of player options.
It’s okay, I consider you and Lance to be my friends just as much as Midare and Lann and as I said a few posts back I didn’t intend for the conversation to end up where it ended up, it just kind of ended up there and some of my replies probably read meaner than I intended so I’m sorry and I apologize as well.
I feel like it’s a give and take. Blizzard has given two arguably huge deals the Thalassian model, and additional RP tools for HE fans in the non void skin tones.
I used to advocate for HE fans and I simply don’t anymore because I feel BEs have given enough and the requests now require BEs giving up more of the visual distinction I value. Blizzard leaving that in place would be them giving a different section of the fans a win now.
Is it a total win for us in every category? Probably not but I didn’t expect to win in every category, I’m okay with what’s been done because I wanted others to be happy but future additions I feel come at the expense of what others value specifically people who play my favorite race.
While Blizzard can’t make us happy 100% I give them credit for taking both sides into account as they should no one side should be the only side listened to.
Well, that was the lowest effort route, so of course that’s the one Bliz went with.
Which cheeses some of the blood elf fans off because it’s literally a copy paste.
And annoys a few of the void and high elf fans because it’s a low effort copy paste.
Since the art team was “ahead of schedule” you’d think they could have sprung for some differentiation on the skin tones at least.
Also, more diversity options would have been nice for Thalassians.
At least they finished our underwear. That we had belf underwear in the preview, and not even colour changed, bugged the heck outta me.
The new eyes are really nice too. I was expecting them even less.

I actually love it (even though I’m not using it on anyone atm), but I hate the reasoning they gave for it. “Ahead of schedule” my ears!
I don’t hate it, but I hate what it represents.

It’s the same reason I hate Fungarians, but those are even more wasteful.
At least the mount is something we get as players, instead of another worthless mob type.
I don’t remember if they made them more useful in Shadowlands, but in BfA Fungarians were worthless outside of a few unnecessary dailies that could have easily been something else.
I like my tree, but I’d rather have more than 4 faces on my tauren.
Oddly I liked it until I didn’t have Highmountain Tauren or Tauren characters to use it on anymore and now I don’t anymore. Lol.
This makes total sense to me and yeah I hate those little guys, more so when it’s one of the dailies with anima rather than gold or lower level armor I don’t need and I actually have to do it.
The weird lip thing still bugs me on them. Lol.
