I don’t buy it and it’s nowhere near the same thing because the whole point of Void Elves is they are void infused, Alleria literally took from a void fallen Naaru and it should have changed her right then and there permanently.
But it didn’t. Retconning that it did would be blatant and terrible.
It was weird that she had this dramatic cutscene that put her in her new Void Form, all meancing and what-not.
Then just… poof. She’s back to normal like nothing happened.
Would it be or would it be because you want to be able to justify getting our options as well as using our options?
I agree with you and Lance on the idea of removing the options not being good.
But I agree with Naughtymoon it’s as sensible as giving VEs the rest of the visual theme, if Alleria is the first VE make her look more like a VE.

I can accept this.

And this. Lol.

Oh, I would have no problem with Alleria looking more like a typical Velf, just being in her Void Form all the time.
I’m only arguing that removing options from the game is a bad, bad precedent that benefits nobody.
My original post didn’t even have to do with that, it had to do with changing things to be more where they should be, feel free to go back, I mean yes I did get to that point now but that’s not where it started.
To do that, at this point, they’d need to do some story for it.
And if it clarifies some things on void elves and gives us a narrative, awesome.
If it’s just like “oh hey, she’s blue now”… uh… not a fan.
I mean yes I did get to that point now but that’s not where it started
I didn’t jump in until it got to that point, and I never argued that specific point. My arguments were about setting a bad precedent. I posted once or twice in support of Alleria being in permanent void form.
You can go back and read my posts if you didn’t catch that the first time.
See and that is why I view it as a good thing. I want them to clarify things for VEs, I hope you get more lore, but I feel like I can’t root for those outcomes so long as Alleria remains an argument to argue away visual distinction because otherwise I hope it remains in limbo for ever.
Like I am happy for the Alliance HE fans who have options they didn’t have before, I don’t want more HE options going to VEs as I see it as unfair and bad for BEs visual distinction, but I want good story and outcomes for these options too. I authentically want the best for you if you’re an Alliance HE fan but I don’t want it at more expense on what I or others value in game and I hope thats enough, some people recognize that and others don’t.
Coming back to this point:
they were given to us not you, that’s the thing people on Alliance refuse to accept Blood Elves/High Elves were given to Horde not Alliance.
What you’re saying here is that your opinions and feelings matter more than your opposition.
Blizzard put blood elves on the Horde, so Alliance high elf fans should get over it. Yet when they copy blood elf options to void elves, you don’t have to get over it, and should be catered to by having the options removed from void elves?

I didn’t say that at all, I think people should let go that Blood Elves are Horde not Alliance I have thought that for many, many, many years.
But I also don’t think people should be so consumed that Void Elves should be a copy of Blood Elves just on Alliance, I really don’t see why you or anyone else takes such a major issue with them being what they are supposed to be vs making them into something that’s a copy of my race.
But you’re not arguing for void elves to not get anymore customization that makes us look like blood elves. You’re arguing we should lose what we already have. Do you see the difference?
I only started arguing that after you pushed it that way because you don’t want Alleria to look how she should and High Elf NPC’s to be replaced with Void Elf NPC’s.
You are entitled to disagree with me but trying to blame me for where you steered conversation is on you not me.

Alleria looks how she should according to Blizzard.
Them changing her look isn’t going to kill this request.
Besides, you forget that I’m happy with what void elves have, and wouldn’t be that upset to never get the hair.
If you actually think this, then why am I not entitled to voice that they should change her or change NPC’s, it doesn’t mean they’ll do it, it means I’m voicing my opinions just like you or anyone else is.
High Elf NPC’s to be replaced with Void Elf NPC’s
To be honest, this would make sense if they updated the world, but not if they didn’t.
We very rarely get updates in old world content, and when we do it usually makes no sense. Like having Cata Garrosh in MoP, when he canonically doesn’t have Gorehowl, even though he’s now randomly carrying it there even though he shouldn’t be.
What sense would it make for Allerian Stronghold or Quel’danil to be populated by Void Elves when they’re old, un-updated content besides that?
Unless you just mean stuff from SW/BfA onwards, in which case I don’t really have an issue with that.
I never understood why the Shield Mages/Yvera Dawnwing weren’t Void Elves.
I think and this is just my take Naughtymoon’s analogy argument.
I disagree with the removing options analogy personally as well but I don’t think Naughtymoon is arguing to remove options actually.
I think maybe both sides analogy arguments got lost on each other? I don’t know
If you actually think this, the why am I not entitled to voice that they should change her
I wasn’t saying you aren’t. I just disagree.
or change NPC’s,
I agree with Lance’s view on this point.
