Void Elf-High Elf Customization Thread

Pf, that would mean Blizzard would have to catch us up on what’s actually happened on Azeroth instead of our theme park of the expac.

Or characters who aren’t The Six We Will Predominantly Be Following Until Everyone Complains And Then Maybe We Rotate One Out Reluctantly.

And that’s just crazy talk.

But seriously, are zombies still trying to eat the planet? What even happened in Ashenvale? Has the Dead Scar ever been fixed?

Is Westfall still a flaming disaster?

Westfall: You expect me to be repaired by now!?

My view on this is it’s kind of too late.

The damage was done in Legion and throughout the entirety of BfA, even if she didn’t actually do all that much in BfA.

My whole idea of changing Alleria or replacing High Elf NPC’s with Void Elf NPC’s would be easy they are already in the game and with Alleria they could just make her blue or purple colored and boom you are done.

Where you are trying to go would require them to add more storylines which is a bit silly because why would they work or add to past stuff unless they make it current again?

But I’m already not blue, so that’s pointless.

It’s actually not, you can easily copy/paste and add a new model.

That’s by choice though and I didn’t agree with Void Elves getting that either.

I know, but the damage is done.

Turning Alleria blue now doesn’t really accomplish anything.

That’s your opinion, I choose to disagree.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, but I really think some of the kerfuffle could have been avoided by drawing void elves from the 7th Legion and Silver Covenant instead of having blood elves go, “Eegads! THE FORBIDDEN RESEARCH!” and exile a group of their own who hadn’t even been voidin’ out yet.

If the goal is to make Alleria more in line with the void theme, I prefer Magnificent’s suggestion of just having Alleria stick in permanent void form.

If she stays permablue, I want that skintone as an option too. And hair.

(I actually want those things regardless.)

My main point is Void Elves are supposed to be void, everyone cites that they want to be like Alleria their racial leader, so if she’s turned blue or purple wouldn’t you all fall in line?

Cool, I’d support that because it’s actually void based.

I think it would serve to cement the hair distinction factor / argument once and for all.

I don’t really view it as a bad thing because of the fact 90% of the visual theme is achievable on the VE model now.

I would say it wasn’t necessary before the VE’s non void skin tones were added but I think it could serve to advance their stance post adding non void skin tones to VEs.

No. It would change literally nothing for me.

Alleria was unvoidy looking throughout Legion and all of BfA, despite being the conceptual basis from which void elves were spawned.

Changing her now just seems nonsensical from a lore perspective, and takes a lore dump on the customization options I like using.

Customizations you shouldn’t even have because you aren’t a Blood Elf you are a Void Elf.

But I do have them, and Blizzard gave them to me.

For me it would be the best of both worlds.

I can feel good about the options added and people enjoying them. While being able to feel better about Blizzard taking the argument that people use to argue the rest of BEs visual distinction away.

It’s too late for this line of thinking, though.

The minute Blizzard starts removing options is when a precedent so bad is set that the game would be as good as dead.

In my opinion, at least.

You have them for all the wrong reasons, is that really something you are proud of?

I’m not proud of it, I just enjoy it.

What I’m getting at is that Blizzard put it into the game, so it’s too late to want it changed.
