Void Elf-High Elf Customization Thread

Yea. Plus we don’t have to worry about managing poly count and server coding as well as all kinds of business stuff. Its the nice thing about being an artist who just does stuff for fun.

Dear Gnomest,

I got a preposition for you. Will you accept me as your biggest fan?

Sincerely, Sarallesta

Jokes joke, but you do come up with some of the best concepts that people do enjoy

Oh I do not claim otherwise.

I was responding to another poster saying he’d made suggestions there.

Far better places they could make their argument from.

Yes I was here for that.

Though I’ve always wanted the blue eyes (and purple) for my Belf.

There have been such things from both sides. I do not say otherwise.

Hell I’ve changed my stance more than once.

I first started as a “moderate” pro. I was always more about the void elves themselves but wanted the high elf options as well.

I got that though and things just got worse and worse. I eventually got angry and was entirely an anti for a few weeks.

Simmered down and decided to put my efforts to only the void.

We all like and want what we want. Whether it’s for something or against.

High elf ones for sure. Don’t see too much on void.

You flatter me. Sure thing! 3D model edits are a dedicated hobby of mine. I’d post some here, but I have nothing related to the topic at hand.

Although there is this cool fan project I saw someone do with the SC2 editor. Its creation of a wow zone using the SC2 engine. Not mine though.

There’s that taking a statement and making it align more with high elf desires thing again.

With the way they get tentacles and other void influence showing through them, hair dye may not work on magic hair.

It’s freaking pixels elves, no one is twisted and skewed because they have a different opinion on game preferences.

whoa whoa whoa, they haven’t been around for a while but the only walmart viking I can think of was definitely pro-helf.

Yeah. Yeeah.

True, and like’s been said Blizzard is the final decider there. All any of us can do is keep suggesting or asking for options until Blizzard says the conversation is closed. Like with the ‘flying at expansion release’ folks, Blizzard has reiterated many times they like Pathfinder system, as sucky as it may be to those that want flying at release, they’ve given that same answer consistently.

The thing some individuals (not you) don’t seem to get is that Blizzard has never reiterated ‘go play Horde for High Elves’ once they decided to give and share High Elf customization on Alliance and Horde.

That’s kind of how I noticed you can tell when Blizzard is finished with a conversation, if they keep giving a consistent answer on the subject each time it’s brought to their attention.

Oh true sorry. It seems like this thread is for High Elf options on Void Elves I guess (as opposed to High Elf options on Blood Elves). Sometimes I miss the details I admit.

I’m just going to requote from Muir post…

And neither have they said that they want to give the alliance the full high elf range of options. They’ve mentioned some customizations, but it reads to me that they’re leaning more on their approval of people making their own backstories.

Until they go back on it.

Still none of that says they’re going to give you the full high elf experience. I mean, my reading is that they want to give some options to represent that as your character’s background, but not necessarily the full run of options. And in some degree I think the biggest thing they think they’ve done is the statement on character backgrounds, so you can say your velf character is a high elf and that’s dev backed now.

Still on the magical hair thing? Even though we disproved that literally a week or so ago? Only a few of the hair styles are voidy, the rest aren’t.

Pffft, I wish my hair was magic. I need the barber shop, a few Pineapple Pizzas and some Blonde hair for that

What is a word that is sorely abused in these threads?

If the barber shop was a real life thing… like we could just go and change our hair colors instantly and styles and… well gender… I’d be at the barber every week.

Though thats neither here nor there…

Well, Barber Shop is a real life thing, it is what we call a Mens Hair Saloon here in Australia. But I am pretty sure in WoW, it isn’t called a hair dressers.

They did not add natural hair colors for a reason when non void skin tones were added that backs up their previous value on visual distinction

The truth is, high elf side already won. You can just look in-game on say stormrage or moonguard and the vast majority (not 100% obviously) of void elves one sees in stormwind are pretty much high elves.

The anti-high elf side pretty much lost already but held down in their bunkers making a last stand. Void elves (ignoring how most void elves already look like high elves in-game PLAYER wise) get high elf skins and eyes, and their hair styles aren’t far off as there isn’t really that much tentacle hair choices kinda equal about but didn’t count to compare

The only single thing missing is hair color, and that is where the last stand is

The lore won’t really ever be high elves though, that will be the biggest difference that won’t be changed even if they add high elf hair

Man, I have nightmares of that server… I learnt my lesson of never visiting Goldshire Inn on that server.

No one side can claim to have won either both did or neither did or both gained something to some degree.

And if you want to get down to it only one side has the full visual theme in question because Blood Elves are the playable HE race so it’s hard to take seriously the claim the side that still has to request what Blizzard left out of their options has “won”. And if that’s the case then the hair isn’t important and they need not give it to VEs anyways because you’ve already won to the extent you judge winning.

That is everyone’s first mistake.

Otherwise outside of that, Moonguard is actually not bad.

So, if hair isn’t important, then why are you making such a fuss over it?

I still think Blood Elves win over Void Elves because we are the only ones that can actually have the real High Elf looks, I mean my character is a prime example of that except I have darker skin instead of lighter skin but I’m still blonde with blue eyes and pretty hair and no void taint. :yum: :yum: :yum:
