Void Elf Customization Thread (Ascension of the Ren'dorei) (Part 1)

I type this as i sit in an undisclosed cave ready to terrorize a cat for it’s heart for the 10th time on my dark skinned void elf hunter… we need more void/spooky pet options.

Wait… why is Alleria’s son in Silvermoon? o.O

Apparently he lives there.
And Turalyon is allowed to come and go.
And alleria is unbanned somewhat and even went to lorthemars wedding.

Weird story.
But nice to get some insight in to the characters.

It is surprising that the sin’dorei would allow an Alliance half-elf to live in their city knowing that his mother is a void elf. :eyes:

Well, this puts an end to the whole “If High elves want to live in Silvermoon they have to be converted into Blood elves!” argument, since not only does Arator live in Silvermoon, but he’s one of the knights defending it. And he clearly is not a Sin’dorei. So yes, High elves can return and live in Silvermoon without becoming Sin’dorei for all those punks telling me otherwise for all these years.

Secondly, I want to say that Silvermoon was wonderfully written and described, I loved hearing about how the city was rebuilt, and all the families and elves going about their days in the different parts of the city, and not described as some evil city like some people try to make it out as. The same elves Alleria recognized, the same city and people, the High elves. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

(Imagine if they allowed void elves into Silvermoon during the day and then became Hostile at night haha)

I also find it fun that the kinda sorta king of the alliance is allowed to just chill in silvermoon these days :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, I wonder if it’s because we’re in times of peace, or if Turalyon and Alleria were only let in because of their association with Arator. (They did stop her a the gate  ) Hopefully we’ll get more details in the future!

Also I hope if Silvermoon gets restored they add in Arator’s house!

Also: Arator’s tattoos confirm that Blood elves still decorate their bodies like the olden days. Alleria mentioned that she recognized the style of his tattoos, which would mean her tattoos were made by a Blood elf that still does them to this day.

The void elves were banished because the void was a threat to the Sunwell and they were messing with it, due to Umbric’s carelessness. I don’t think Alleria’s son would be that much of an issue… I mean, Alleria was already allowed there and she was also part of the Alliance, the blood elves aren’t Horde fanatics or anything.

About the wedding thing, I don’t know why she bothered going there, I would have guessed she wouldn’t.

I don’t quite understand what argument they were trying since blood/high isn’t a physical distinction like blood/void, its political.

Arator can’t become a blood elf, unless he swears allegiance or something. In that regard that’s all it takes.

Well the moniker wasn’t even a political one, the political differences came later when they started to make choices on how to survive. I almost saw the name “blood elf” as a title given to those who fought to protect their homeland, and stayed for the reconstruction. Returning later and taking on the moniker would almost feel like a form stolen valor.

I feel that people wanted to keep the strife between the two groups alive and burning, and the idea that High elves would return and live among Blood elves would put that flame out entirely, so they argued tooth and nail and made up reasons why it was impossible. And then this story comes out and puts all their feet into their mouths.

It’s glorious.

I mean, it’s ridiculous to think certain high elves wouldn’t return.

Sure, the Alliance fanatic ones won’t return most likely. But those who were expelled for not mana tapping and not because of anything “faction” related? After the restoration of the Sunwell, it’s the most obvious thing for them to do.

Exactly! Tell that to people like Drede who argued that it was impossible and that it was my “fanfiction” and yet here we are.

High elves like the ones at Alleria Hold were not even PRESENT when the original splintering happened, and they even expressed their desire to return home but were initially reluctant when they thought the Blood elves of Silvermoon were the same as Kael’thas’ at Firewing Point.

This also tells me that Auric Sunchaser, the official High elf representative at the Sunwell most likely also lives in Silvermoon, and has probably also repatriated himself just like Arator.

Last we heard of Auric, he was at least partisan enough to be worth naming a squad of Alliance after during a major war.

But since the current leader of the Alliance can wander around Silvermoon unescorted, I’d say all bets are off and we’re probably all besties.

It’s both. The void elves had their core and biology altered by the void, they are not much like blood or high elves anymore, they are already a different race, even if having the same shape, and iirc they also got shorter (in lore, gameplay doesn’t show it).

The difference between high elves and blood elves is only political, but the difference with void elves is biological and political.

Political folk were probably always allowed to during peace for the most part. But since hes got a specific reason I’m sure it was easier to sus out. Lor’themar is kinder than anyone wants to admit.

Glorious! I’d kill for this!
